ehsan/JoJo - The grub screw is hard to see since it is buried. So without me taknig off an a-arm, it will be difficult to see. The best thing to do is refer to the maintenance manual. Page 10, Step 13 (top of the page) The screw I am referring to is a 4x12mm screw that gets screwed into the lower A arm. Same for the front. See it? The word balloon says for adjusting ground clearance. I would turn it so it just touches the chassis. More ground clearance means more suspension travel. More travel will allow your suspension to move downward farther while in the air. When you come back to the ground your suspension will start to work earlier. This will help, but bottoming out will occur. Its the nature of a buggy to bottom out over large jumnps.

Hey GB....why don't you apply for that "Writer / Reviewer for RC Uni Mag" post. i had a quick look at their requirements, and with your knowledge, think you'd do real well there mate.

You're kidding me right? I know F%&# ALL! ALthough I think anyone of us could right reviews for RC, all they ever say is everything is great. They never say, "This car is a pile of rubbish"or "You can buy better".

I think Jerzferno is more qualified for the task, he knows way more than me

Hey Jerzferno - I like your explanation of the grub screw and bottoming out - Makes perfect sense, I never thought is through the way you did.

I have been so busy at work that I haven't even started my car in almost a month, however today is the day. "Working from home" so I am going to burn a couple of tanks at a nearby bashing spot.

Jerzferno - Nah no sick day, I am a contractor so sick days mean no $$$$$$ It's called "work from home".
I took the car out and have decided I am going to junk the stock radio, I had so much interference it was crazy and also scary. A couple of times it went WOT on me but luckily I some how got control back. I barely ran a tank. So now for the radio options. I am thinking either 3PKS or 3PM on 2.4ghz FASST or the Spektrum DX3R. I will probably go 3PKS, not sure about 4PKS either?

Yo GB, don't forget me bro.. glad to hear your back home.

Jerz for clarification... I would turn the grub screw on the top of the kit, and not the bottom right?

Thanks,
Jojo

Hi JNC....

Sorry about the quality of the shot, took it with the phone a bit too close, but had to so the flash would get in there. This is the bottom left front swing arm. The arrow points to the top of the grub screw, it's a bit tricky to get to it if you don't have a good long allen key with a handle. And yes, you're right, you come in from the top to get to it mate. Good luck

GB - I have the 3PK. I've had it since 2003 and love it! If you don't race like me it's definitely overkill but a great radio. I do use the ABS feature which keeps you tracking straight when you break. I ran my car yesterday as I'm tweaking some settings on the radio and turned the ABS off and when I gave full break it fishtailed a bit. With the ABS on from full speed it stops quick and straight. Don't much about the 4PK as it just came out so it hasn't had much time out in the market to judge how good it is. The 3PK has been around for a long time. Hope this info helps you.

BTW - What sort of battery charger do you use?

Arrrgghhhh....OK, here's the deal with my front left dogbone. I've replaced it again (double checked it was the correct part as well), replaced the lower suspension arm and aluminium turn knuckle. Set all the turnbuckles to exactly the same both sides as per instruction manuals. Took it to the track today and after the third jump...POP...out it comes. It did that three times before i got tired of taking it apart to sort it over and over again. I've taken some close ups of it (and the right side). Maybe you guys can see something i'm missing. I've never had a dogbone pop on the right side yet, only the left.
