Hello Guys,

Quick question. Can I use 15% nitro gas if my motor is already running 25% nitro? what can i do so i can still use the 15% nitro gas? The motor is the stock GXR28 Motor.

Thanks,
Jojo

According to my local Kyosho store 25% nitro is optimal and recommended for the GXR28. That's what I run and have run even while breaking in the engine.

So if there is no good reason for changing I'd say stick to 25%!

Yesterday I drove at the beach. Really nice! Unfortunately my fuel bottle broke so I couldn’t fuel it up after one tank.

I've uploaded some photos here for those who want to see: http://www.rc-extreme.net/2008/05/10/driving-on-the-beach/

Hey Jojo,

I've always been told by my local LHS that if i change the nitro percentage in my fuel I should re-break the motor in with at least two tanks, the same way you broke it in initially. Having said that, I personally wouldn't step down in the nitro percentage, only up. Wait till you get some more responses before making your mind up. Cheers.

Hello Guys,

Thanks for the info. I guess stepping down nitro percentage in not advisable.

Thanks,
Jojo

tommygun32 - There is no need to do a "break in" when changing fuel , just to adjust HSN/LSN with the new fuel.

Ehsan - My fueling bottle broke after breakin 8-9 times i used it and and it was torn . On sand it is very easy to over heat the engine . If you don't check your temperature you should !!

Umm, I didn't break the fuel bottle inside the car, I broke the head of the fuel bottle which I carry fuel with, you know those 500cc fuel bottles? lol

Anyhow I was out barbecuing with the family in the park today and of course I brought with me my Inferno US for some park bashing Unfortunately there where no proper hills for jumping, so the tank was dedicated for some serious power sliding instead! The photos can be found here: http://www.rc-extreme.net/2008/05/10/bashing-down-the-park/

Here are a couple of samples:

Hi Rocknro....

I usually get to the track on Friday's (mornings now while it's cooler)...."bonding with my son time" kind of thing....(that's what i tell my wife) . Seriously, he loves it as much as i do. I also try to get out of work early some days and swing by the track before heading home. I work near Maktoum Bridge so i can usually get there within 10+ minutes depending on traffic and the lights. Then it's a straight shot home to Jebel Ali Gardens. I can usually get about an hour or so in before i head home. PM me if you feel like hitting the track some time mate. Cheers

Probably to lean the HSN because less nitro means less oxigen so to maintain proper mixture you will need less fuel.

Jerzferno:

I've compared the old and new items you mentioned, they're all the same, and the reason i can't use the old/new combos is caust the dog bone got bent and the c-hub cracked in half during the collision. You're right about the cars being designed to be able to adjust the camber and those adjustments should no effect the positioning of the dog bones. Here are the pics you were asking about mate. I've held a right angle up to the tires for referrence. You can really see the difference in the shots. The others show full downward travel and upward travel, while the downlooking shot shows the difference in the turnbuckles now since the techie at the LHS cranked down on the one on the right in the pic (actually the front left tire on the car).
