REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEG - I thought you gave up on us. Welcome back. Hey do you have any pics of your old piston and sleeve? What was the problem? Glad your back with us. Keep your fuel in a relatively cool and dark place. Tommy, you make this volunteer fire fighter nervous with under the sink. That is one of the most dangerous places in any house. Look whats under there. Dish washing soap, drain unclogger, furniture polish, shoe polish, other cleaners and cleansers, etc. Now add nitro fuel? Oh noooooooooo. I went to a fire fighting class regarding chemicals. They had a mock kitchen sink cabinet stocked with your basic things youd find in there. Then they prodeeded to mix certain things. I saw very nice light shows and heard lots of pops and booms. Made me clean out my cabinet when I got home.

Hey Jerz Good to hear from you again !! The conrod broke when I was going at full speed Hey i repaired it myself & it's still going strong . The hobby shop guy volunteered to repair it but I told him I'd like to repair it. I'll have to find another spot for my fuel. You learn something everyday. I haven't had a chance to check the older posts yet How is the racing going ?

REEG- i had the same thing happen to my GXR28. I was on an hour of amazing driving then it broke at full speed as well. Still trying to get it fixed by kyosho.

Dutifully noted jerzferno.....finding new place to store my nitro as soon as i get home. And i'll try to keep osama out from under my sink

!!

On to bigger and better things...WWOOOOOHHOOOOOO!!!!!! took the car to the track yesterday (couldn't wait and it was slow at work

) Bashed the hell out of it and didn't pop the dogbones once!!

....but did fry the steering servo

.

If it's not one thing....it's another.

Xcskiier ,I had to pay for the repair or replacement parts Kyosho did not want to accept this as a Warranty claim. The servos on my Inferno GT had problems right out of the box & they also did not want to accept that as a warranty claim.

Tommygun this hobby can become quite pricey besides locating the parts but afterwards it's all worth it. When the car is going great you tend to get carried away.

I hear you bru....unfortunately, having been out here as long as i have, you tend to stop converting the currency into dollars, not realizing that hmmmmm.....maybe $3,000 is a bit much for this kit

. I really should just start buying everything 100% off the net, probably save me enough to get another car

Well know....this would explain my steering issues.....

...the little arrows are pointing to bits of plastic formerly known as gear teeth. Do they sell these parts seperately or should i just go and get a new digital servo?

I would suggest you buy a new servo , repairing would probably cost more or even the same as a new one. I have to convert from dollars to rands & to buy off the net from USA etc. is cheaper than from our local hobby shop. I buy from Amainhobbies & delivery to SA is 2 to 3 days which is not bad at all. I've ordered brakes for my Inferno GT about 8 weeks ago from my local hobby shop & I haven't received my parts yet.

Tommy. Good to hear your bones didnt pop out. Awesome. Yeah that servo is toast. Time for a new one.
REEG - I raced once so far. Stunk up the place. I messed around with the sub trim for the steering just before my qualifier. I had only about 50% left steering. Really wide when I turned left. LOL Managed to qualify 1st for the B main 2 seconds out of the A. So In the B I got wasted in the first turn and dropped to last. Managed to get up to 6th as time ran out. Top 2 bump up to the A. So instead of racing in the A main, I was Marshalling. Anyway the steering is fixed. Looking forward to this Sunday. Should do a lot better?

I'm sure you'll do much better this Sunday. Congrats on the first place qualifying spot. I can't wait to start racing. I think we have a race on the 1st of June.
I made a ramp on Saturday to check how the car lands etc. & I was quite impressed. The stock shocks etc. handle quite nicely.

rite i think i need a new tank but should i get the origional kyosho one or the HB Lightning sport one because its slightly biger and stronger than stock i think and will fit in perfectly

Why do you think you need a new tank? Leaks? Nothing wrong with the stock tank. I tried an aftermarket tank, because I had it. it rubbed underneath the body. My original tank leaked something terrible from the lid. Not from the start, just over time. I got a new one about one month ago. Nice and tight, no more leaks and no more mess.

So think the tank has a crack the post that the fuel is pulled up because the tank its self and the engine is airtight just there is air in the fuel line when at about half tank and below

My US Sports does the exact same thing. I killed the stock engine because it kept running lean. I bought a Sirio EVO III to replace it, and it runs hot on my Kysoho but not on my Turmoil. I stopped using it after seeing temps get over 300 on the new motor. The Turmoil never gets above 240.
