I just picked up enough lexan for 8 attempts. So hopefully Ill get some time this weekend to finish up the mold? If I start running in to problems like blow outs in certain areas because of too much stretch, ill trash the idea. So ill give it a shot. If I go through all my lexan without any good bodies, Ill have to abandon the project. It could get expensive. Ill let you know if I get a good one.

Hey Jerz -- how's it going ? been very quiet lately. I broke a shock over the weekend --- I will replace shortly but what should I do ?? Should I replace the shock that I broke or should I fit upgraded shocks ?? What did you do with your shocks ? Did it improve handling & jumping ?? Hey I'll be a uncle soon -- My bro & his wife are having a little boy fairly soon ....

REEG - what exactly did you break? The only problem I ever had with the stock shocks was a blown seal on one of the rear shocks. I chalk that one up to my own fault. I didnt clean the shocks one time and grit just sanded away at the shaft. I will take the extra minutes to make sure they are cleaned after each day of running. I still have the stock shocks on. Different springs and oils, but the same shocks. I dont have any plans on upgrading shocks. At least in the near future. I have the suspension set up to where I can be competetive and qualify in the A-Mains. New shocks will probably push me back in to the B until I learn them. LOL

Hi --- I've removed the shock & checked it out properly. The lower plastic part of the shock & spring holder only needs to be replaced. I think I'll just replace these two parts & change my shock oil instead --- The stock shocks are fine . I've found that if I order any parts including cars on the internet from Japan or USA it works out much cheaper than buying from my local hobby shop. The market overseas is huge compared to SA.

REEG - Try www.amainhobbies.com. 80% of my spare parts came from there. Great service and decent prices. If you do go to the site, look on the left hand side of the page. You will see options like parts, hop up parts, tires adn wheels, etc. Once you click on parts, youll see pictures of all the vehicles they sell parts for. Click on the Inferno 7.5. The US sports is an economy verion of this vehicle. Parts are interchangeable. When I first went ot the site and didnt see anything for the US Sports, I got worried and sent them an e-mail asking about it. Thats what the customer service rep told me. He was right. Everything I ordered fits fine. How'd you wind up breaking those 2 parts? Must have hit something or took a good tumble?

Thanks Jerz -- I've saved the website as one of my favourites already ---thanks for the info . --- I fitted on road tyres & checked my top end speed --- before I finished off my run, my uncle wanted to drive the car as well --- BIG mistake -- he accelerated too fast & slammed into the pavement -- That was the end of my run -- Needless to say I was pissed off --- Our local hobby shop can only get these parts in January -- bummer --- I'll check with the amain guys whether they can get the parts sooner for me. Thanks again ---

Hello Guys,

I'm a newbie in R/C Nitro, but i just bought the Inferno US Sports. Just want to ask what would be the "suggested" first hop up part i need to perform. The unit runs ok, but the engine can quickly get very hot. I live in the Philippines (tropical country). Any suggestion?

Thanks,
Jojo

Hi Jojo -- Welcome to the club -- I have my inferno US sports for about 5 months or so -- It's a great car -- I haven't felt the need to add any hop ups -- One of the guys on this forum is called Jerzferno -- He has changed the engine to a .21 OS V-spec engine -- No major modifications as far as fitting the engine was needed. I'm sure Jerz will respond to this forum. He'll definetly give you some advice. He's been in this game for a while now. The car does get fairly hot but I think the carb needs to be set just right -- the engine will run better & not get too hot too quick. Don't run the car too lean though -- you will damage the engine --- I've only had problem with my clutch & flywheel but other than that the car is great ---

Hello REEG,

I'm quite satisfied with my Inferno since I'm just a weekend player and not a racer. I'll try to have give it back to my local store to have it check out. otherwise, i'm a very happy camper..

Reading thru this forum, Jerz looks very busy on his customization... Hope he could reply soon..

Thanks,
Jojo

Hi
Jerz is focusing on his family at the moment -- he's wife is having a baby soon -- Be a bit patient -- he might reply soon --- Check out www.amainhobbies.com for parts etc. Jerz recommended them -- I would too --- I ordered parts on Friday & received them on Tuesday -- not bad going since they are in the USA & I am in South Africa. On the web site they have a section for hop up parts for your buggy -- The inferno us sports will be represented by the MP7.5 inferno -- they use the exact same parts . The prices are not bad either. Check it out.
