Ok, am no expert I got my Perfex KT-14 radio (standard issue radio in US Sports RTR) in my hand and these are the menu options: D/R - 'Dual Rates': Controls how much throw you have on steering. That is how much those round rubber donuts at the front of the car (the wheels) turn left/right. Also available via the switch at the top of the controller labelled 'ST-DR' while you are driving. EPA - "End Point Adjustment": Available for both throttle or steering. Basically controls when the servos reach there end-point; that is, stop pushing. If you play with this you can hear the servos at a point stop pushing, if you keep adjusting that way you will actually bring the throw down (which you set in D/R remember. Once you have reached full steering (or throttle) not much point the servos still pushing. Maybe for brakes you want a bit but I'll leave for the experts to correct me. Important if you put nice strong servos on - the EPA will then stop the steering servo from bending/straightening the chassis and the throttle servo ripping the carby off ARC - I think this is also called exponential. Available for steering and throttle/brakes. Rather than have the radio control the car in a linear fashion to your inputs, you can make the car react more or less aggresivelty at the top or bottom of the control. For example, with zero arc the graph would be a straight line (control input vs output), If you set negative arc value, the output would be less aggresive below that value of input and vice versa. For example I have my steering arc set at -20, that means for the first 20% of control wheel movement (left and right) the cars wheels turn gently, after 20% of input normal output/input. There are great graphs of this in the Perfex manual but caution the text for each graph is backwards to the graphs. The graphs are correct. Model - Let's you store a whole bunch of different setting under different model. Total of..... 12 models (now I have learnt something). For example I have Model 1 for my nitro breathing monster and Model 2 for my electric screamer, each has settings for how I like it for that car and I just switch models with the controller when I switch cars (nope, can't control both at the same time, i think). Sub -T - Sub Trim: Allows you to trim the steering (left or right) or the throttle too. Basically sets the 'zero point'. I think these are also accessible on the radio toggle switch above the wheel labelled 'ST-TRIM' whilst driving. Hey, there is also a lever for this on the radio labelled 'TH-TRIM' on the upper right for trimming the throttle. If your car steers a bit to the left, just set some right trim (or actually fix the steering linkage on the car). I sometimes use the TH-TRIM when the motor is cold to set a faster idle, or for when I have got a rough tune and give it to my ham-fisted brother to drive and stop him stalling it. 'REV' Used to set the reverse for steering or throttle. If when you steer right, the car turns left, use this to reverse the channel so right is right and left is left (unless of course you prefer to drive that way). Same for throttle, squeezing it should open the throttle; if instead squeezing applies the brakes you need to use REV to reverse the throttle channel. REV does NOT make the car go in the opposite direction whilst emitting a beeping sound, or rev the engine or turn it into some sort of Traxass monster truck. BATT - Tells you how much juice your transmitter batteries have left and when you should charge/replace them. There is also the AUX switch (third channel), but don't worry about that unless you got wings with ailerons on your buggy Phew.... Now I need a coffee and a cigi - I didn't realise what a nifty little radio this RTR came with. Not bad hey! Anybody feel free to correct me if I have made a mistake. Now I am going to post a question....
