Gbasile - That was my thought exactly. I have taken this buggy apart so much that I dont need the manual anymore. I love the tinkering part of the hobby. There is not much more you really need to do to this buggy to make it a competetive racer. Aside form the pipe, header, and engine, i havent spent much. I made my own front chassis brace. The buggy comes with the holes already drilled out for it. Dont know why they didnt have it? I tweaked my chassis a bit coming down hard without the brace. Its really rigid now. I also rebuilt the diffs and added the 2 extra spider gears, and used diff lube. the diffs are pretty good stock, but the extra spider gears will make them almost indestructible. One less thing to worry about. I also installed sway bars front and rear. They make a big difference in the corners. next was springs. the stock springs were a bit soft for my liking, so I got stiffer ones. Thats really all I did to it. With the .28 in it, I could get in the A-main, but 8th was my best finish, if I finished. Those upgrades cost me about 80 bucks. Still WAAAAAAAAAAAy below the price of a 777 kit. I look at the following upgrades as a wash. If I got the kit, I would have to buy and engine, pipe, and header. I run different tires/rims, and bodiy. I would have done the same with the 777 kit too. So the upgrades aside from the power plant were minimal and made this buggy very competetive. 4th in the A main my one and only time with the new engine. Ill get that a main victory next year. Not bad for a moderately modified RTR racing against buggies that cost well over $1,000. This buggy has great potential with a minimal amount of modifications. Believe me I know. Good luck and congrats on your purchase.

I have tweaked my chassis a bit too. I am real good at un-tweaking it with some blocks of wood and a hammer . However I think it has been tweaked and un-tweaked a few too many times, so included in my box of goodies have the Kanai 2 chassis.

Down here in Australia, parts and stuff are pretty expensive so it is hard to make small mods here and there without the boss noticing the expenditure. So I have gone all out and just kept filling up a shopping cart on A-Main. The more you spend the more you save The only parts of the car I will be keeping are the parts I have already upgraded

Man, I am going to have fun rebuilding it!

By the way, no my wife does not have me by the balls - We both keep each other in check.

My other hobby is full scale cars, I have a 1967 Alfa Romeo GTV (yes, step-front for those that car).

Now that is expensive -> And to tell you the truth you don't get to use it as much as the RC. I have had the Inferno for over a year and have used it heaps so it is good value entertainment compared to the full scale cars.

I have no idea what shipping to you would be? Try sending A Main hobbies and e-mail and ask them? I usually have good responses from them. You can also try www.hillsboroughrchobbies.com. Send Jason an e-mail. This is my LHS. He is awesome. I get 85% of my RC stuff from him. He may ship to you too. Tell him Steve recommened him. Hes a really cool guy. Tel # 908-281-0074.

I already bought a bunch of parts off A-Main and they are scheduled to arrive on Monday. Alas, my week off work that week just disappeared and I will be working all week. Oh well, more cash at least.

Shipping was not too bad, the more you buy the more worthwhile it is, so I put together a nice amount of parts and shipping was ok. Even then, the parts come out cheaper than in Australia and most of the good quality parts are not available in Australia locally anyway.
Some parts are half price compared to here!
I could list the parts but it would be a damm long list, here is a snapshot:
Kanai 2 chassis
King Headz front and rear towers
King Headz front and rear blocks
CNC knuckles (this was actually the only part I needed, oh well)
Cradock brakes
Sealed CVD front rear centre and rear drive shafts
Set of bearings
And a few other bits and pieces.

hey guys i have some questions. im having trouble with the .28 stock engine that comes with the sports. ( as what ive read so far alot of people have problems with it) heres what i got:
the engine starts ok and will stay lit for about 5 minuits and then dies. i can get it started numerious times after that so i know its not compression. i dont know if its the glow plug, it looks brand new and is very bright and red. it is an r5 plug. when i try to start it after the first 5 I can only keep it going by leaving the igniter on the plug. as soon as i take it off it dies. do i need to get a new plug or is there another problem that i dont know about? this is my first 1/8 buggy and ive only been in the hobby about a year. any help would be appreciated.

I would try a hotter plug. It is cold where you are and I suspect the ambient temps are cutting your runs short because the plug can't stay lit since the engine is probably not getting warm. Try an R3 or McCoy #7...

Hello Guys,

I just got a Futaba 3PM-FS FM Modulation Radio. It comes with a Futaba 3002 Servo and receiver. What would you recommend for a new Servo? or should i stick to the stock servo?

Thanks,
Jojo

Hi Jerz -- Compliments of the season to you.
My new year didn't start off great at all -- My connecting rod inside my engine broke -- I don't think it damaged anything else inside the engine -- I hope not -- While the car is out of commission I'll replace the diff oil & fit the spider gears you were talking about. Where can I get them from & do you perhaps have the part numbers for me. Maybe I should also change my engine --
