Hi all,
Just got my Mamba powered 1/8 scale going again, 3cell lipo, thing is cant remember the gearing, so thought I would run the little pinion, but its to crazy, cant pull away without it fliping, taken the throttle curve down and its better but I am still gluing it together as we speak !! so might try the big gear anyone tamed this set up?? running the high grip tyres and the 68000 Mamba, alloy swinging arm and a 3 cell 600mah battery, maybe try the 2 cell, but on the 3 it pulls fantastic wheelies but like I said still gluing it back together. :-) Any views on this or set up help?
Thanks.

Ok I guess the old kyoshos not in favour any more, never mind been running mine tonight again with a modified throttle curve but still way to much plus I seem to have a range problem, sure I had this before on 40 meg fm, and had to run 27meg, but cant see why, anyone else out there still run the Kyosho ??

Well still going it alone, but found that the 12 tooth pinion works the best, still got to be mega carefull on the throttle, but only 2 big crashes tonight, I love this little bike, makes my 1/5 scale i/c seem slow !! just ordered another 600mha lipoly battery, runs for 8mins and only get 440mah back in the cells, need the metal pinions as the plastic ones come off when the motor gets hot. The Kyosho ones are ok but the grub screws are too small, looking for some better pinions with bigger grub screws, any one got any Ideas??

Ps Cured the range problem, new pcm rx.

I have the mamba 6800 in mine.Using a 13 tooth pinion from my micro RS4.They are metel a work great.Only had it out a few times.Found I have to glue the tire to the rim as under accelleration the rim spins on the tire.Haven't tried it yet but will later today. So far this bike has been alot of fun.Looking at getting a lippo or two. What's it like with a 3s?Is it driveable? Will most likely get a 2s and 3s just because I think the 3s will make the bike just stupid fast.

If you're looking for a Kyosho HOR (or other r/c motorcycle), go to www.2wheelhobbies.com. You can get the kits as well as parts and hop ups.
