Well, i was starting to get good at flyin my rappy .30 till i crashed her Saturday, well the machine is a write off so is my JR R790 Reciever and they gyro is on its way to Futaba now, luckily i have an understanding Fiancee' so theres a brand new kit on the kitchen table that I'm building, my DS821's made it so did the OS.37 w/muffler so thats goin into the new kit. Rappy #1 started gettin away from me and i lost perspective, at my field the ground is unlevel to the right of the runway, skids hit the ground and tipped her over while i was still in the throttle. Ah Well, time for Realflight and more building, hmm maybe i shouldn't told my Fiancee i wanted to build another kit HEHE

I've NEVER seen a raptor come out as a total loss. I've seen main frames, servo trays and all get thrashed along w/ blade grips and all. and it would only cost like $250 to fix it and that included some metal upgrades..

Wow.. you must of priced everything seperately as i just priced:

Spindle, Main shaft, Flybar, Tail boom, Tail belt, Flybar Hoops, ball link ends, Tail rotor case, blades, Boom supports, frames, clutch liners, fuel tank and Canopy all new from Heliproz for $133

you can REALLY save alot of money by getting the "mavrick" brand of parts from heliproz for the raptor. they are just as good and 1/2 the price.

Yeah, the crash kit is $70 from my lhs the rest is on top of that so i said screw it. the LHS had a Rappy kit on the wall so i took it, i like to build anyways and ive become a pretty dedicated heli pilot, i had 19 flights on her but that was over the course of the summer, i aint learning much that way, like i said next is Realflight G3.5, and thanks for the props i knew this was gonna happen at some point, just not so dang soon. BTW what can i use for clunk line, i have the Dubro line but its too thick if i put the tank upside down it doesnt hit the top of the tank, in fact it doesnt hit halftank

soak it in a thick plastic cup of fuel for a day or 3. thats what i typically do to get mine to soften up. or u can just use it as is and it'll soften up over time.

If your still that new with heli's, DONT try to outfly your experience. that is the quickest way start spending money very quickly. I know hovering around is pretty boring, but if you ever decide you want to do 3D aerobatics, you'll be glad you spent all that time doing hovering in EVERY position and attitude you can think of.

right on, you could also try heating the fuel tubing up in hot water to soften it up, quicker. what does a normal crash kit have in it, blades...???
