Hi Nicolas -
those afterburner lights are VERY cool!! I think I need that for my F-16 now!!
I have seen a couple of other afterburner lights, and they were white, these look
much better!

Just went to Sweden today and picked up my second GBooster 160, this will go in
my Fei Bao Panther, which also will have full lighting..

Hi Nuno,

Definitely redundant ! (see pic below)

Yann,

EVERY Batmobile HAS an afterburner !!!

Tor,

Yes, great stuff, these lights as you do know as you have'm too...
Note that the afterburner effect is increased on this plane as the silver metallic coloured rear cone around the exhaust acts surely as some kind of reflector.

The original designers SHOULD HAVE equipped the L39 with an afterburner ! They did miss something !

Thanks for all the nice comments, gents !
Nicolas.

Kevin, Thanks, thought I missed the boat on that one. Set up seemed fine, anyway getting ready to do your rudder mod. Keep up the good work. Wayne

Nice photo's Joe.
Kevin's idea of red on the tips works really well against that blue sky.
Nice to see what clear blue sky actually looks like.
All the best,
John C

Andreas,

Yes, I am busy installing the whole lights set from flugmodellbau.de based on Luxeons and with their splendid electronics etc (see previous posts). Some parts are now being custom made for this L-39 such as the wing tank cones (heading lights) and the beacon/position light assemblies. Good thing is you won't have to experiment anymore and try to figure out what items you need for best configuration.

Here's one of the original parts of flugmodellbau, which will be scaled down to suitable size. More news soon !

Nicolas.

Installing the Dreamworks / Flugmodellbau Lighting on an L-39 right now. Have already made some custom headlight lenses for the tip tanks with beacon/position lights on the side..... Lenses will be available through Dreamworks.

I have tried to capture the lights on video but having some difficulty since they are so bright. Altered the camera settings to achieve this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USGveixLWTM
