Hey guys, I am the fellow that made the SAPDjet back in 2003. I decided it was time to try again! Did a 2X Sig WOnder - all from 4mm coro and some ply and baswood. Check it out!

Test flight tentatively tomorrow at 12 noon

Unfortunately the three times I tried to get it off the ground, resulted in high (very high) speed taxiing into the tall grass off the run way

I kind of ran out of time to redo the gear and/or turbine mounting and I am afraid this project will have to wait untill next spring. Its already snowing here!

Ah shucks Andrew, better luck in the spring then. Iowa doesn't usually start to see snow until around January but I enjoy flying several of my planes off of the snow anyway. Here's a link to one of the videos we shot while snow flying in a storm:

Video 1 shows a Spadet with a modified wing to allow for my aerial video camera. That's the little white box hanging from under the wing. We also fly the Spazzler during the winter and both fly very nicely. I'm currently working on a giant ultra spad which will be powered by a new G38 and I plan to put skiis on it.
