ORIGINAL: teamvortex Bob, I just got and am installing a rear exhaust YS61FR in a Bridi Escape for some vintage pattern work down here in Florida. What pipe and header can you supply for me? The pipe goes through the canopy and it's about a 1" or 1.5" rise (gotta measure). I think that this YS model is the long stroke, but I'm not certain. I gotta admit, I bought it on name recognition only. This will be fun. I'd like a little quiet, so muffled pipe ? How about the rear exhaust tuned muffler ? Suggestions and (if you will) prices. Thanks, Rich Ernst AMA 57151 SPA 262 Nah.... you dont want a Jett muffler for that setup.... the canopy is there as a pipe tunnel. Use it.... Pipe and header.... Mac's Quiet pipe.. 10cc size.... http://www.macspro.com/tunedpipes.asp you will want the 1062 10cc long stroke version (Works great on short version too) Macs has riser headers that fit the YS engines ..... I think you need 1.5" for the Escape (check the plans) http://www.macspro.com/headers_rear.asp I would have to dig up my notes on tuning length... but I seem to recall I had mine set at 13.7" most of the time... bit lower rpm, but turned an 11x9 or 11x10 quite well. Those will keep ya happy! My Escapes I had were CMB 60 powered..... and I used Hatori 650 pipes at the time. (1986-87) I hope this helps Bob
