I went to the longer tail boom mod in the past but couldn't seem to track any of the longer blades. I'm now back to short stock boom with 285 MM Helimax wooden blades, perfect track.
What are the main advantages with the longer boom? Will it limit me in any way as far as learning while using the short?
What are your past exp /thoughts on the long and short tail boom? Much appreciated.

The longer tail boom lets you run longer blades, and makes the gyro more effective. I wonder which longer blades you couldn't track? If they were Helimax blades, then you shouldn't blame the boom-- nobody else can make them track well, either. The longer boom with MAH, Radix, SAB, or Align 315-320mm blades will make you change your mind .
