I got my Black Hawk 450 SE yesterday and after last nights inspections got my Its 1st Hover in today This bird is a Blast.
About the only thing I didnt like was the bolts that keep the blades in the grips. They are of a poor quality and dont fit any hex driver properly making tightening the blade grips a pain. But they should be easy to replace. I'd also like to thank KA Planes for the inspection and test hover, I always feel more comfortable when I open the box and see that KA inspection logo.

Very nice. Glad to see you flying it. Get your stainless steel hardware fro RCSCREWS.COM as they ship fast and the quality is great.

Thanks for the Tip. I already had a small hardware problem. One of the screws that hold the flybar came losse. I found one loose on my pre flight and put some locktight on it the other appearded tigh but came out. On a more detailed inspection I found that only 2 or 3 theads of the screw actualy make it into the head so Lock Tight ing them is a MUST. I've got to give the crew over at KA-Planes credit within 24 hrs of my call they had a replacment ready to send! I had already gotten a couple from the LHS but its nice to know that these folks suport there products.

Edit: thermal7 there isnt anything at rcscrews.com?

Looks like a lot of fun there. I have been thinking of getting that Heli as well after I migrate to a bigger Heli (if I do lol)

Blaze,
Thanks

I took my traing gear off today! While flying my second pack the chopper bumped the ground and displaced the gear. I wasnt having any trouble with the chopper wandering around during spinup or liftoff so I removed it. I flew that way for the rest of the pack and lifted off a few times without to much effort. I ran the second pack without it and was comfortble ( comfortable is a relative term, any cardiolagist would have poped a nitro pill under my tounge as my heart was no doubt clearly visible beating like a trip hammer ) wih the way it handled. I'm having some trouble getting the chopper to maintain the alt. I want. I seams to drift high or descend. My transmitter has a rachting enable and i think this is part of the problem. I'm going to try to disable it.
