You know Ken's been absent to a lot, must be because he now has to work for a living.

Brad,

I resemble that statement. No, work doesn't really take too much from my free time, all of the honey do projects that wifey was kind enough to ignore for the last couple years are starting to catch up. Although there are a few days where I get home late from a job site, but that will taper off in the fall and at least now I get paid for my overtime. Cool that the EDF stryker flew well. Surprised ya didn't crash it on take off. I'll be showing up late on the 2nd assuming that I have everything packed the night before. Still lots to do between now & then. And I'm planning on driving back on the 8th or 9th, whenever the last day is that everyone starts leaving.

Getting closer to finishing the Mustang. Wing mount is in place, front half of the belly scoop finally built, just needs covered. SO it looks like all that's left is to build & mount a servo tray, control rods & horns for the tail surfaces, rudder & elevator servos, spinner & prop, Balance & test fly. I might test fly it at the fly in though. Hangar queen until then. I still have to build Lou's SPorter, my Zero, the Polecat, & try to repair the canard plane as well. ANd whatever else I can squeeze in.

I am going stir crazy. I keep thinking about the edf unit and either the floats from the Beaver or the mini storm launcher. This wind really needs to stop.

Oh cool deal on the stryker, glad to hear it was a success

Doug sure I can always use motors or if I find I don't I will pass them on

speaking of that,, Phil do you still want or need brushed motors I have quite a few of all different sizes that need a home, some are brand new and some are used but still perfectly good
I will bring them to the fly-in if you could use them

Happy Birthday Elaine, I hope you have a good day
lou I hope your starting to feel better

Well all I have to do is mount the cowl and put 2 little pieces of covering on the tail end of the fuse and the little blue plane is done,,,,,,,, YAH,,,,,
I put the 2 3S 2000ma packs that it will be using and it ballanced dead on
I will post some pics of it tomorrow

I plan to work on planes all day tomorrow and sat, I hope to finish the SU-27 so I can get busy on the corsair
I have to put the a grill together somewhere in there but I should be able to get a lot done

AJ, you're one of the WAA guys right? I was just reading that thread, one of the main guys just died, and they are going to maiden the second plane tomorrow.

Me too Tim.

Yea it was a bummer...the irony was, the guy that lost #1 is also the guy that died. He was also the outfits Treasurer. He was also showing marked improvements in his final days so it really caught everybody off guard.

Hats off to Greg Stephenson.

Dads, I think the fubared esc messup the flight. I've gone through one bad esc causing problems later on. I get really suspicious of failures to rx's following esc problems. He was apparently getting some horrific pm's from the twits at RCG. Sounded like a nice enough guy though.

I may have to try my edf on a deck with floats idea.

Tim

Have you guys seen this? <
