Some years ago i was lucky to get some of the old Pilot kits in my hands. I am now finishing my Super qb 25H, and i will mount Pilot super float on it to make it a permanent seaplane.

I wonder if anyone have tried this plane on floats? I thinking of instaling a OS 25 Fp engine on it, will it be to little?

I re-up this too old thread.
I have the wing and the tail for 25H but i cannot find the plan for the fuselage. Can you scan the plan for the fuselage to make another one?

thanks in advance,

Funny, indeed :-)
I note that you're write from Bergen, Norway................I'm from Sola outside Stavanger.
I also stumbled upon a Pilot QB 25 H kit + Pilot float 20 kit a while ago, and dicided to grab and build it..........partly for my own nostalgia ( flashback from my youth when my father and me build a QB 20 H ) + partly to see if one of my sons would become intersted.
Both the plane and the floats are completed, but the floats has not yet been mounted; took the maiden ( on wheels ) about a month a go to make sure it flew well, which it indeed did.
It is powered by a SC 30 fou stroke; given how it behaved from our grass field, I have no doubt that this power are sufficient on floats, as well.
Will surely try her out with the floats this summer.
I'm sure the OS 25 should be just fine for this little icon of a trainer.

Would be great to hear how it goes...................

Cheers

Asbjørn
