What's the problem.....many here could 'talk you thru' the build, or you could send us the stuff and we could send you back a plane

Bretd123,

Don't sweat the small stuff! EVERYBODY had to build their first plane, and many started out building a SPAD as their first. JUST TRY IT!!!. You get better every time you build one, so get started!

Let us know how it goes!

Blue skies,

DL

You could make some cash by selling the stuff to less fortunate, cash-carrying modelers, y'know. It would sell very well, especially if you have pieces larger than 6" X 12".
Just advertise it over on the RCU Swap Meet area.

If you can assemble an ARF you can build a spad. In fact its probably easier to build a spad.

If you are an experienced flyer start with the sickle. Its a great spad and builds super fast.

Ask your Mom to build you one from the plans on spadtothebone.com. With any luck, maybe she has coro welding equipment, which would be so AWESOME!

Find sme one experianced at building and ask them to help you out. Most in the hobby are more than hobby and even enjoy teaching it.

No, not every one can build one, and not every one built their first. I bought mine, ready to fly!

Even a simple spad, if over your head couold be frustrating if you are unfamiliar with building.

I see from your profile your a heli guy, from what I have seen(which is very little) helis are mostly bolt together, there is a huge differenc in assembling and building!

Find some help, or , maybe trade out some extra coro for labor.

YOU DAWG!
a free and endless source of coro and probaly sign vinyl scraps too. Would your mom be interested in adopting?

SERIOUSLY build the Debonair from
SPADTOTHEBONE.COM
the fuse and tail are almost fool proof and the wing is not to bad. it will require an extra set of hands when folding and gluing the wing. but if you mess it up pitch it and start the wing over no big deal. it is a fine flying plane and tough as nails. with a little sign vinyl for trim yours will look cool. go easy on the vinyl though it can be heavy.

Gee that is a shame! Maybe your mother could help you with the tough parts as she may have more experience! Just download her the plans.

Ask questions on the SPAD forums, I did.

A teenage boy lives in our home. Terms like 'I can not do that' ; 'I am not good enough to do that ' get very little sympathy. Experience and skills are not normally bought but gained from practice.
