here is something that guides don't tell you. Check the conditions of your bearings. Rear bearings that fail... lead to a broken crankshaft in a hurry.

If you are running with a higher performance engine and/or higher quality engine, you definitely want to inspect the "tolerances" of your connecting rod. If you get too much slop, its going to eventually kill the engine. Many companies recommend that you replace after break in AND after every 3 gallons of fuel. After 3 gallons of fuel, inspect those bearings too!
