mamba 6900 cannot be run with a 3S LIPO, sorry

Actually, yes you can!! You can run any number of cells to any of the motors AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT SURPASS THE RPM SAFE LIMIT.

Remember, theoretically you can not because when you do the math, you exceed the RPM SAFE LIMIT. However, when you factor gear ratio, wind resistance, drag, weight, etc, etc, you will find that you do not reach those numbers and it is possible to stay within the RPM SAFE LIMIT.

A prime example is actually advertised directly by Castle. The next time you see in the mags the ad of Castle showing Jim Schauer's 1/10 Top Fuel electric dragster that did 104mph in 132 feet, know that he used a Mamba Max 7700 with a 4S lipo.

Now, in LICO's case, that would not work as he is running the car over a great distance which would allow the motor to rev beyond the RPM SAFE LIMIT and cause plenty of damage. But this is to show that it is possible provided you have the adequate knowledge to set it up SAFELY!!!

Ok Speedracer, I will look for your address online.
I probably will go to your shop tomorrow on the afternoon.
Thank you,
Lico

SO, you have 4 fans? I just came back with my TC4 with new gears.
I am using now 18/75, the temps. got lower, 150 Esc. (with fan) 165 motor (7700MM).
How do you like the optional ducted fans? Do they help?
What is yor final speed? I haven’t timed my car yet.
Since I was able to bring the temps down, we have to agree with Access
about biger pinion helping to bring temps down, I had to much RPM…
Thanks Access for the help.
