Hi Ken Kehlet,

its a shame to loose a friend, we lost one of our long term members year before last and we was asked to move the modelling items on for the family, these Royal Corsairs seem to keep on apearing! you are correct, the second box had the cowl and canopy in it, when you sell the kit on get the buyer to contact me, my friend has the Royal canopy moulds, he run off a few of the large scale Royal canopys for me and i still have a couple left, one i can send on to your buyer for you, hope that helps...

All the best,
Di n Dave...

Hi OZYRAY,

Good to here from you today, how did you get on with painting the cowl on your F4U?

Alan, me and Di are off to Florida in October to the new show Frank Tiano has organised, where abouts is Graves hobbies in Orlaondo? looks like we may have to pay a visit!!

Were also staying out there to watch the World Street Nationls while were out there but thats 2 weeks after Tiano's event, shame, just have to say there in the sun for a while longer!!

All the best,
Di n Dave...

Hi Guys,

Sorry my last post was a little inacurate!, i was answering to Alan, saying that me and Di are going to Orlando, Alan is not coming with us!!! he is welcome to come, i will buy him a beer if hes there!!!!!!have no plans to bring much back realy, were staying after the event for another two weeks to wait for a drag race car event, which i also am involved in...... dont know where i find the time! i got a good understanding and helpfull partner!!

Hope the stopper works on your cowl Ray, it should, i use it all the time, just repaired a Byron P51 last week, repaired the cowl with glassfibre then i skim of stopper over the top and that sorted all the holes out, all the Ziroli cowls i have painted have been the same, shouldent take to much effort and you will get there..

Had a good day at the Bickley L.M.A. fly-in yesterday, got a bit of a shower but most of the day was good, great models and top flyers made the day...come on the summer!!!

All the best,
Di n Dave...

Hi Di & Dave,
[)]Thank You so much for answering my questions about the Royal Corsair Kit Box #2. I have been building and flying R/C Models for over 50 years, contributed 12 articles to the late R/C Modeler Product Reviews and have enjoyed this wonderful hobby for as far back as I can remember. I now have Macular Degeneration and there is NO cure. Shots into the eyeballs have helped so I can still drive, but every piece of wood that I look at is Crooked. Model sight in the air comes and goes. [)]I still own and sell copies of the Harold Osborne Scale Plans and Scale Drawings. Listing can be obtained at no charge by sending me your email address. Thanks Again, Ken

Hi Ken,

That sounds realy sad, sorry to here you have such an illness, sounds terrible, ive got a friend who had his cataracts done a while back, took him ages to see clearly again, shame they cant find a cure or at least something to help you out?

Hi Alan,

Thanks for the information for Graves Models, i met Steve before he moved out to take over Bobs Hobbies before he moved out there, i went up and bought 2 models and one kit off him, nice guy, probly wont remember me, its been a long time since i last met him! ive benn over to Orlando a few times, i used to go over to watch drag racing, i changed hobbies and got involved with this hobbie quite a few years ago, it will be good to go over and see what the guys in the states are like, i love Florida too, Diane hasent been before, shes a bit worried about being so far away from home but im sure she will be fine once she is over there!!

Spoke to Leon at Belair on sunday about the Sierra retracts for my Royal Corsair, said they will be about another 4 weeks before they arrive, think i need to get it finished eh??

All the best,
Di n Dave...
