Wow...this thread is getting LONG! Anyway, thought I would share my original Taco II with everyone. Haven't got the FatFree one yet. I'm currently working on 2 more Taco II's from the downloaded plans. This plane flies great...I used in our club's Fun Fly last month and took first place in an event, and second place in a few more. Not bad for a free plane! (I already had lots of wood laying around)

Taco II from plans.
Thunder Tiger Pro .46 engine
JR 537 servos throughout
JR R600 receiver
8 oz. fuel tank
APC 10x6 prop
Landing gear made from Aluminum stock from hardware store

3 - 4 degrees of right thrust should take care of it.... Just use 2 washers under the front lugs of your motor or use the thrust plates from Tetherite.

There was a guy that just tried the little 26 4 banger.... Not quite enough to hover it.... I'd go with the 40 la. I've got a buddy with a 40 la that changed his carb out to a dual needle version with a larger throat and that thing really woke up!! Another sleeper motor to try is the TT 42 GP. That things got some serious power and is right in there with the 25's as far as weight.

I've seen guys use standards... It'll fly for sure... But I really think they are too heavy... I'd go with HS 85's..
