I own a 977 and have been satisfied with it. Can I charge a lipo battery and a NIMH battery at the same time? Thanks in advance for anyone that can answer this question for me.

WElcome to RCU, Yes you can charge a Nickel on one side and a LIPO on the other side.

question on the 977 pro it say to look forthe word lipo in the instructions but i don't see it on the charger. any sugestions???

1. We recommend that you use a charge rate of no higher than 1C. For
example, for a 1600mAh battery, the charge current should be no
greater than 1.6 Amps. Read your battery’s instruction to find the right
charge current.
2. You must enter the cell number of your Lithium battery pack. Enter
one cell for 3.7 V battery. Enter two cells for 7.4 V battery. Enter three
cells for 11.1 V battery.
3. You must plug in the battery before enter the cell number and press
Start.
4. After starting the charge process, press Display Select button to make
sure that the word “LiPo” appears on the “cell” screen.

Step 3 and 4 is key to making sure it is on lipo. It will display "lipo" on the screen. If not then don't charge it. Entering the cell number with the battery plugged in is what tells it that it is lipo and also tells it the number of cells. Perhaps your battery voltage is too low?

Sorry for the delay, I was out all last week. Thanks Guver, you got it right. When charging LiPos, enter in the correct charge rate (1C, or 1 times the capacity of the battery. ex. 1200mah battery charge at 1.2 amps) and on the screen after that enter in the correct number of cells. You can then hit the start button and the word "LIPO" will show up on that screen. As Guver stated, if you don't see the "LIPO" on the screen, then somethings not right. If you have any other questions, just let me know.
