That did happen to me, almost exactly. Except the plane smacked a car I was standing next to. I was mad. Not that I almost got hit, but nobody even cared. All attention was on the car door while I'm dusting grass clippings off myself.[:@]

Something tells me that it is good that we can't understand what they are saying. And as was said, it is always funny when no one gets hurt, but even coming close isn't funny, especially with nitro involved(ever seen a guy flip start his engine with out a chicken stick and have it decide that his fingers where for dinner, it's not pretty). It is funny to watch, but not if you are involved in the near miss.

[:o]Yucky. IOnce fly at another clubs field that had no "airspace restricions" which meant people flew where they wanted to. It just bogeled my mind seeing them fly like that. What made it worse is while enjoying myself in under the shade canopy i heard a whooshing noise and a sailplane hit in to the canopy. If the canopy wasnt there that little 049 on the front would had felt nice to the to of the head. Neadless to say i havent felt compeled to go back. Stick 40[8\|]

It's only funny because no one got hurt. The same thing happened to me at my field. I was starting my plane and another guy was taking off, and lost control. "MISSED ME BY THAT MUCH!" He trashed his plane against the chain link fence. We laughed a little ...cause he missed. My 13 year old son thought it was "HILARIOUS". I sit behind the fence now.
