I'm starting to think my main pain in the butt with RC Helis's and the MX-Pro is the fore / aft bobble. I thought I'd share the latest find in causes for this problem. I added some new CNC parts yesterday and went ahead and put on a new set of stock Heli-Max blades. I check CG and balanced the them. Went out to fly and the #+%#! fore aft bobble had returned. To make a long story short after a day and a half of tracing the problem down it turned out to be the new blades. Even though they were balanced and had an equal CG. Put on a old set and the bobble was gone. Anyone else ever had this happen ?

I didn't actually fly the OEM blades long enough to get a bobble-- they wouldn't track so I took them off. The MX helis have a couple of undipped foot parts, and one of them is the HMX blades. In short, none of them that I've tried were any good, so I gave away the ones I had in hopes that someone else would have better luck.

If you want an absolutely lovely flying heli, get some tapered MAH 315s-- these are the smoothest flying blades you'll find for a 450 heli. They're a little expensive, but once you've seen them fly.... Check helihobby, grandrc, or MRC's web site (they're the importers). If you want sharper collective, lower price, but with a compromise in smooth control, the Align 315 Pro fiber blades work well on mine, and for aerobatics, the 320mm SAB composites (helihobby) are balanced for control response and track almost as tightly as the MAH.

[edit] added pictures of the MAH and SAB setups. [/edit]

Check your servos...sounds like a loose servo in the frame to me.

It sorta sounds like the blade grips are too tight.
Blades can't track right if the grips are overly
tight.
