osirisf16,
what else do you want to know about the baja SS, I know where to go to get all the info that is direct from HPI. I would post it here, but it contains another forum.

Thanks, but in my country only sold Futaba and Hitec. There are a few brands but they suck.

be the first in your country to own the spectrum .....It comes with a built in fail safe

One of the better radio systems available for the money

Dont use the servos ....they dont have enough power for our vehicles

about 5 min. ago i just bought a brand spanking new DX3 for $165, but it does not have any servos, and i know those servos are not good enough even for savages.

my old one is just killing me since i keep losing signal because the antenna broke

oh well, money well spent i guess.

time to sell one of my savage to make up for the differences

I would skip the dx3 and buy a nomadio radio. The dx3 does not have many bells and whistles... the nomadio radios are fully upragedable, have every feature you would ever want. Plus much more!

TMD, for 209.00 I coulda gotten ya a dx3 with 2 recievers and the servos. 165 with a reciever is still an OK price, but wish I had known ya were in the market for one as a friend of mine was lettign one go for 140.00 since he just got the DX3R !

if it were me i would buy the Basja now and not wait for the Baja ss to come out.
yes th says mid october but it will be real interesting as to the actual date that it arrives at your home.
still could be several months.
iof you buy a Baja now you will have months of pure fun rather than months of sitting with empty pockets waiting for the Baja ss to be delivered.
i have two Baja's and go out every weekend with them.
unless it's raining out.
Don't wait buy one now and have some fun before winter gets here,
Dirby

guess it all depend on when winter kicks in, for me winter is allready upon us. If you can hold out, the SS would be the best choice in that it would save you a bit of money in the long run. But then again if winter is not near, the 5B rtr would be a good choice. Does not matter what you end up buying, both will need a radio upgrade (the SS will not come with a radio, and the rtr's radio is not the best) The good news is with the SS coming out that the weak points on the rtr will be addressed. The shocks and the diff (for some). These items produced by HPI should be cheaper then any other option out there right now. So all the people with the rtr, will soon have a cheaper upgrade for the weakest points on the baja!

Yeah, i agree with that. Oh man, if i knew that a new baja would came out... And i don't know when this kit will be here in my country. You say that is going to get at mid October? I say, in my country, the first baja SS which is going to step a wheel on the ground it will be at 2009. THAT'S FOR SURE!!!

However, i will buy the normal baja and see how we get on (Since December, there is a lot of time spending on posting and geting information )

yeah, it was kinda like an impulse buying thing. I went to ebay, look around and the next thing i know i got a tracking number sent to me. LOL

oh well, the old style DX3 that came with the car is on its last leg. the antenna broke, so there's only little cable sticking out. i keep losing signal when my car pulls away from me

i am also in the market for a receiver battery. somehow mine burnt up when i tried replacing the receiver with my stock savage receiver.

I am planning to buy 10,000mah battery for $50. do you think it's worth it?

Hathi--

Thank God i dont have winter here in So Cal. that means everyweek end, winter, summer, fall, autum, spring or whatever season, i will be out with my savage and FG ST

God Bless So Cal.

Back in Indonesia, there is no winter. It was so nice!!

Ok I have seen the regular 5B pulling wheelies quite easliy. But what about with a 2 speed? Anyone with a 2 speed but the stock engine have trouble pulling wheelies? I am going to be strcting bashing with this thing, and I also want bragging rights of having the largest, wheely pulling RC vehicle on my street. So again, with a 2 speed on the original Baja 5B with the stock motor, will it still pull wheelies?

the 2 speed has not come out yet, i am guessing with 2 speed you would get more wheelies, since the first gear is shorter than stock 1 speed

I have a pair of 40 amp hour (40,000mAh) batteries lying around, but theyre too big for RC use. My company uses them to power remote monitoring systems.

Mmmm that is tempting. Though the 4400 packs I run in in the 1/5s last plenty long enough for me. I dont even have the attention span to drive more than 2 tanks of gas at a time lol.
