That body is really nice

Did it start as a Clod body? Or something else? It looks much more detailed than that, actually.

I have a Clod body that's being made into a Blazer and is partially finished. I'll post a pic shortly.

It looks like a real full scale body taken off the chassis. Good job.

Heres a few more pics of the body, 99% done. I added some genuine redneck stickers and a few rust spots.

That is a killer job on the body! Care to share your painting technique? I have a K% body sitting around. Waiting to finish up my rc shop because I plan on making a tube chassis for it. I want to make it look like a trail beater like yours. Did you first spray a brown color, then primer grey and then your final color? then sand down certain spots? I thought about painting the brown on the inside and the primer and final color on the outside. That way if it scrapes up while running the rust color won't get scraped off.

I sprayed brown on the inside, primer gray on the outside and duplicolor yellow from Pep Boys on top. I then sanded the whole thing with 600 grit and spot sanded to bring the gray through. There are no spots that show through to the brown cause it doesnt look good with the lexan over the brown. All the rust spots are applied with a q-tip then sanded with 600. The lines between body panels are applied with a felt tipped pen, then immediately wiped off, leaving a darker line but not black.

after it dried, Ive found it almost impossible to scratch off. With the primer and the top coat yellow, it has made a shell of paint that I doubt will gouge away in a roll, but we will see.

Exactly what I was planning on doing with the exception of the felt tip pen. That trick will be added though! thanks a lot!

What do you use it for? I don't use C4D much at all. The designers do and I taught myself how to use it just to get by.

Nice! Ever mess around with the animation on it? Man that is cool stuff. Kind of a pain but cool.

I went to an on hand software demo yesterday for the new Autodesk Inventor. Man do I want that software......
