Ok, I have a TRex 450 SE and a Pigeon (aka Vulcan, but mine was just the heli and no electronics, really it had no name so I will call it the "Pigeon" for you.) so far here is my list of experiences. 1. Pigeon Feathering shaft bent really fast. (Had to replace with Align Feathering Shaft, much stronger) 2. Pigeon needs to be completely dissasebled and reassembled using locktight, otherwise you will loos all of your screws and your heli will fall out of the sky. 3. I have Hitec HS65 carbide gear servos on my pigeon and Trex and so far I have had to fix two servos on the Pigeon and none on the TRex, I fly my TRex a lot more too! 4. I plan on replacing all my swashplate links with Align links because the align ones are a better fit on the ball joint. 5. The link for the rear rotor pitch control is made of plastic and just fell off the ball link and wont snap back on because the eye is too big. Need to replace now. 6. The frame on the Pigeon is very strong, I have really bent my aluminum TRex frame but the Pigeon look perfect. 7. Align HH gyro is on the pigeon, would definatly recomend a good gyro/digital servo setup. I have a GY401 and a digtal servo on my TRex and it is a joy to fly versus the cheap Align gyro. 8. The rotor Blade tracking on my Pigeon was way off. I like the Pigeon but it has been a really good learning experience building it since it was my first Heli build, my TRex was a used heli and I just charged the Lipo and started flying. I have a spektrum DX7 and I am glad that I spent the extra money instead of buying the six channel. Good luck and I will try and post some pics when I get up and running again.
