Ok, I just got done flying my HBK2 for 10 minutes solid. During the flight, on three different occasions - all at different durations of the flight - I noticided the heli experienced a twitch or glitch, where the heli jolted for a half second and then resumed normal flight. Almost as if it lost total power, but just for a fraction of a second.

I am using the stock transmitter, HH Gryo, stock servos, 25A ESC and the 3900 esky motor.
Could it be the transmitter?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Alan

Definitely sounds like a glitch. Other sources of radio transmisstions near by? Batteries in tx new? even slightly old ones (that still show good strenght in the light indicator) can be suspect. metal to metal contact? rx to close to esc?

I do not know of any other radio transmissions...as this was about 10pm. The batteries are the Dracell 2650 MaH rechargables with solid strength on the battery meter. Check out the picture I included and see if you think the ESC is too close to the rx.

Your ESC looks to be within 1 inch of your receiver. Put is up front. Second, if you are using a cheaper PPM receiver, they know to be very good listeners to outside int. I too have the same issue occasionally with my Belt CP and use the same servos and motor. I just swapped out my Dynam 6 ch with a Berg 7P to see if that helps my issues.

Thanks for your help Chris, I will move the ESC.
The Rx I am using is the one that came with the heli (RTF)
I am upgrade to the Dx7...that should help with the outside int. shouldn't it?

get the 6100 the 7000 is more expensive, has more channels and more range. Unlikely that youll need the range, or 7th channel with the HBK2

Thanks for your response.
When I buy the DX7, (micro heli version) will it come with the 6100 receiver with the end pin design?

OK, I know it has been a while since I posted, but I wanted to let everyone know, that I found the cause of the issue I was having originally. The plastic gear was wearing down and occasionally if the heli vibrated just right, it would skip a tooth or two.

So I guess make sure you check the condion of the main gear before you fly.

Also, is there an aluminum version out there?
