Ok, I'm new to the building of r/c boats so I apologise for all the very stupid questions but after many hours of reading and surfing around the internet I still have so many unanswered questions...I figured it would just be easier to ask then keep looking aimlessly. Most of the useful construction information has been aquired here: http://www.rvjunkie.com/sub/

Im currently trying to build a wet hulled 48" scale model of Seaquest DSV(I figured if I was gonna do it I might as well make sure I'd be pround of the final product). I want to place the propeller inside the craft for more authenticity and use a nozle system to stear the boat. Although I am still at quite a loss as to how I am supposed to connect the motor to the prop shaft...I also do not understand the difference between flex cables and regular prop shafts. How does one keep the hull attached for use but still releasable for maintenance/repairs? How big of a motor should I use? How do I mount the motors? How do I get the rods connecting from the servos to my nozel through the WTC without losing the seal? How many blades should my prop be? and probably most importantly how on earth do I regulate the ballasts??? Im open to any method but gas is lowest on my list since I run the risk of running out and being stuck. speed is not an issue but simplicity is I think my problem is that I need to visualise things and the pictures I've found(if any at all) are small and hard to make out, so any and all pictures/illustrations you can provide will be extremely helpful!

Actually if someone would just pretty much tell me what to get and how to put it together to get this thing to dive and resuface I'll be on my way :P

Thanks in advance for all your help and sorry again for all the questions...
