Has anyone had or heard of problems with Cool Power MV fuels? Problems like engines quitting running whilst airborne and subsequent dead stick landings. Also, has anyone had problems lately with Morgan Fuels in general being bad lately?

Hello, is anybody out there? Surely, someone in the Universe must have used/tried multi-viscosity glow fuel and is willing to tell us about the experience.

Our club only has about 40 members, and only half fly regularly. No one I know has tried MV lube.

Wow, some folks only have time to get on RCU on the weekends. Maybe one will see it then and post their experiences. At any rate I don't see any need to remove it, if no one answers for a while it will just drop to the bottom and not be noticed.

Personally I've run Cool Power for as long as I can remember and never had a bad jug. I don't know if any of my jugs (Literally hundreds as I burn 3/4 to one gallon per weekend) have been MV is the only problem I have with being able to answer your question. I generally run 15% CP and I know they make it both as MV and as Ultra-High, I just haven't paid attention to the fine print regarding oil type. Is it a different color? I always just grab the Cool Power 15% green stuff. (Just for the record, I add 2 to 3 oz of castor to any fuel I buy that is all synthetic. Here lately I have been buying Omega so I don't have to do that. It already has the castor in it.) Good luck finding an answer.

Hav been using MV CP 10% 15% 20% fuels since they were out there (and contain a very advanced lube IMO), if one wants to blame something for an unhealthy running engine, they should first blame themselves.

There is nothing wrong with Morgans CoolPower or CoolPower MV.
No I'm not a morgan salesman, Ive used Byron fuels for years before Morgan made it to my LHS. Ive found in my personal experience that Morgans CP all-synth lubed fuel is much more superior to byrons castor/synth & mix or Morgans omega.

This has happened to me and I found that leaving the fuel out in the sunlight all day seemed to cause it.

A friend kept having this problem last week and he found a deteriorated clunk line inside the tank was sucking shut. He was using Byrons'

I've seen this happen to others when they ran their engine too lean.

I profess to be a Omega man but will use other equivalent brands such as Rich's, Wildcat, & Powermaster.

MV works great in a 4 stroke with about a gallon of oil in the sump that has to handle everything from being cold to hot day after day after day. I'm not sure what affect it has in a 2 stroke where it's gone through the engine before you can even blink. My guess? Marketing hype.

Well let's see -- what percentage of the MV oil do you have to run to get decent protection? 17%, 18%, maybe 20%?

The oil I use (Coopers) provides far more protection at 12% than most other oils do at 20% so guess which is the "better" oil.

Why waste money on MV when you can buy a vastly superior oil (probably for less) and end up with cheaper fuel, longer-lived engines and more power to boot?

No one is blaming anyone for an "unhealthy running" engine. I simply asked a question and expected an answer. No one is pointing finger at anyone or implying anything. Common sense tells me that if an engine is quitting while using a particular jug of fuel and that fuel is tried in another engine and it quits and is tried in another person's airplane and it quits, then it is probably the fuel. Especially when another jug of fuel solves the problem.

I had a jug or Cool Power MV and experienced excessive foaming on a profile
model. Pumped it out and a buddy filled me up with regular CP and their was no
problem. Both were 10%. I've got a half of jug I wont use.
