Hope that means he shipped a bunch. Mine was ordered about 2 weeks ago. Looking forward to your thread. If mine arrives in time it will be fun to compare notes.

The Zoomer showed up today. It looks really good. More than I expected actually because the LG were included. I need a little time to round up some material before I start the thread but it will happen soon.

Looking forward to it. It is still on my build list.

Have you made a powerplant choice yet?

Let us know.

Oh yeah and can you measure the diamater of the nose? I want to see if it will fit a 19xx series Neu motor in there. The thing should scoot with 3000 watts on a 7x8 probably break 200 like that.

The spinner ring area has an opening of 1.75" and it is designed for a 2" spinner. I will post some pics later today. The Fuselage has a long nose and is a little odd to look at at first. Should be plenty of room for all of the radio and or batteries.
I have deecided to put a TT .46 with ultrathust, Jett pipe on it. There is plenty of room to squeeze many engines in there I think.
What is the best glue to use for installing formers into a fiberglass fuse? This will be a first for me.
The kit came with to small angled aluminum landing gear. Looks like you would glue plates into the wing and mount the LG on them. Exactly what I wanted for the gear anyway. Should be stronger than wires.

You can use polyester resin if the fuse is polyester resin with cloth strips for added strength. You can also use silicon glue, or Goop. If the fuse is epoxy glass, then of course, epoxy can be used as well as the aforementioned adhesives.

I would use goop. The awesome thing about goop is it doesn't crack loose when the fusalage is flexed.

I thought one time I heard about Shoe Goo. I have some of that, does it work? Or is it the same as Goop?

"Shoe Goo", "Goop", "PFM", "Marine, Plumbers, Carpenter's Goop", it's all from the same bucket. Just be careful with using too much. It gets heavy.

BTW, no one ever answered my question early in this thread regarding whether the wing needed to be glassed or not. Carbon strip is mentioned, but nothing is said about glassing the whole wing....

Thanks GPB

Hey Vert. The Neu 19 series motor is 2" in DIA. Do you think it will fit in the nose if you set it back a few mm's?

It says in the direction sheet to fiberglass the center section with 3 layers of cloth top and bottom. Start with 4", 8" 12". I suppose you could glass the whole wing but it is not mentioned in the instructions. There are some other carbon pieces to be used in the wing. I will discuss that in the build thread.
To fit a 2" diameter motor I think it will have to be moved back about 1" from the current spinner location.
I will start the build thread now.
