Hey all, got my TT-01R in the mail today along with a duratrax junky ESC, a Lancer Evo body, and some tamiya Black paint

Going to start assembling in a few minutes, but I must say this kit is very nice. It has quite a bit of Alum. too for stock! The weight is pretty hefty for this small box, well, actually, tower delivered it in the wierdest box i've ever seen. It's about 5 feet tall, a foot deep, and about a foot wide, it looked so awkward :P. From what iI saw through the bag, it has an Alum propeller shaft, alum propeller yolks (not what they're called?), and alum output yolks. I'm going to be using this for drifting. It also comes with full set of ball bearings

Here's a couple pics of the kit!

Pics aren't too good, but everything was still wrapped! Will keep this thread updated

EDIT : Fixed pics :P

Thanks for the reply!

I realized I needed a reciever for it, so I went down to my LHS and figured I'd walk in, buy a cheap AM 2-channel reciever to go with my futaba 2PL.

Well, that definitly didn't happen. I planned on spending 20..and end up buying a Futaba 3PM FM Radio... How it happened I don't know, but I'm happy with it ! (My wallet is probably taking it rather hard though!) so 120$ Later, I ended up with a nice radio system and 3 servos cause the guy had one lying around and figured he'd toss it in as well as an extra reciever. Not bad, I'm happy with it ^_^

haha. maybe... I'll think about something cool to do with the 3rd channel, seeing as it's unneeded in any other form :P.

I just finished seperating all the parts into plastic organizers so i don't have to hunt for screws, will start the ACTUAL build tomorrow

haha it's not much. I found this cool tool-box kind of organizer and it's awsome (target -> 10 bucks) Here it is, and you can see Brushless boy's post in the backround! :P The last pic is kind of hard to see, but its all the Alum pieces that came with it, Prop. shaft, output yolks, gearbox connectors, etc.

haha, brushless isn't in the budget ATM. Before xmas I will be dropping money on a nice BL system, not sure of which, but will probably do some serious research and posting about it when the time comes

Off to bed now, will update tomorrow with the build!

Well you don't really need a brushless if you are jus drifting with the model, I think you will be all set!

agree BL is over kill for drifting really better off with a nice 19turn motor.
it will drift straight out the box but its better to have a little more torque for power to keep constant drifts.
I bet you cant wait to test it out can you lol

remember driftings also about your style so take your time on that body and make it unique bro
