I am still new to 1/10 electric on-road and am wondering if I am getting what would be about the right amount of runtime for my setup or if I could do anything to help it out a bit.

Here's my setup:

XXX-S car with Novak 4.5R motor/esc, gearing at 18/88 (stock spur), running Nitro Shoes foams 42f/45r, with an Orion 4800 2S Lipo.

The runtime comes in at about 7 minutes when running hard the whole time. I don't feel I need to gear down as the motor, esc, and bat temps are all within reason and below 130*. This puts my average current draw at about 41 amps.

I'm just a little more used to off-road where you are not on-power full as often and have to manage your throttle to maintain traction control. Off-road tends to have higher current spikes but a lower average current - where on-road seems to have a higher average current draw where the power spikes aren't quite as high.
