Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for some advise please, I finally started to hover my first Nitro its a Century Hawk Pro with 40 Toki. Its an awesome feeling and currently using a Hitec 51BB Gyro very old and beaten no Heading Hold

I'm looking to replacing this but the issue is that I have very limited funding so I looked at some other options that could possibly in the budget for now please see below or if you could provide me one with some comments and pics....

1. E-Flite G90 - with heading hold
2. Telebee GR303 - with heading hold

or if someone wants to sell their used Futaba 401 for a low price that would be awesome as well

Any help or comments would be helpful, I just dont want to waist any money.....

Thanks

BH is giving you some good advice here.

If you have just started in helis, then any decent yaw rate gyro (with a 15 to 20% revo mixing) will get you well into FF. That should give you time to get the financing together for the proper jump to the 401/9254 combo.

Then you can set up your Hawk Pro to take you well into some pretty extreme 3D.

Thanks, One last thing I will be saving some funds for the 401, now I just got a E-Flite G90 for a really great price and just curious can I use this on my Century Hawk Pro with a TOKI 40 engine ?

I just looked it up on Horizon's site.

It seems to be designed for the lower vibration environment of the mini and micro electric helis. It also looks like the same one as Align sells for it's T-Rex (which I tied on mine and though it worked somewhat, it had a bad drift tendency that always needed trimming out during flight). Needles to say I replaced it in short order.

It may work on your nitro Hawk. If you have it, install it according to the instructions and give it a whirl. But don't be surprised if you find that your old yaw rate one does a better job.
