I wasn't crazy about the wheels in the interior kit anyway, plus they didn't match the pictures I had taken of the full scale plane. So I made both of mine back when I was working on that sort of thing.

Looking forward to doing my panel the 'trick' will be finding the wood with a grain I like and all that. You state you broke your wheel-bummer years back I had the patience to fabricate one from wood on my previously posted ancient Sterling Models 57" span SR-8 which flew great but had engine cooling problems as a result of ignorance;hind sight is 100%---I will search my parts bin and see if its still around.

bigphil-your panel looks real well done. I made a panel for my RCM plans Stinson SM-2 and it was much simpler.I've attached a picture or two of it as it hangs around and collects dust at this time.

Naaaaaa its a 1/10 scale early model B-17 C/D model its on hold as the lasor cut parts are imported from Germany as were the plans. Really thinking on doing the Ziroli 101" B-25 as previously stated.

BTW I gotta believe the 'Reliant's' wing joiner will go smoother than the front end went today,why..it resembled WORK

Ok,, a new suggestion. I spent 1 hr trying to get the wing attaching bolts on at the field. What a . I would suggest that you use a threaded stud in the wing and use nuts inside the cabin if you decide to use this method to attach the wings. My preference if I were to do it again would be to hardwood dowel the wing jointer tube and then drill, tap for 1/4 x 20 nylon bolt then use dowels for alignment of the wing. This way the bolt would be outside of the cabin and make the wing attachment at the field more tolerable. You really won't like putting the bolts on inside the cabin. What looks cool for clean design is a poor user friendly setup. Just my $.02.

Jim I'm considering your 2 cent worth question...Only thing worst than struggling to set up a model at the fields IS a crash

Well did step #1 page 32 and junped ahead to page 35,completing steps #1 and 2;must say that over used word :it looked 'awesome' when I positioned the left panel to the Stinsons fuselage

Well Merry Christmas I was busy building and found my self AWOL from mid night mass and things got a little strange when I went for the Egg Nog and R-M....

Hello all you guys: Been following your Stinsin build. I have a Stinsin-9 that was given to me. It's broken, but most of it is in pretty good shape. The Landing gear has been torn out of the fuse. Tried to buy the fuse plans from TP, but no luck. Before one of you start to sheet the bottom of the fuse. could you post a photo of it. I'd like to see what the frame work in the landing gear area looks like. All I have is a bunch of broken sticks of that area. I have an idea what needs to be done. But do not want to over build and add un-necessary weight. Also if you need replasement fiberglass parts, they are not avaiable from TP. Need to go to Fiberglass Specialties.for them. Good people to work with.
