I recently purchased a 40% Radiowave Extra 300 ARF, I am moving up from a 33% comp-arf, I would like to get some suggestions on a typical radio systems package for a 40%, servo's, matchbox/equalizers, power boxes, receivers, batteries. I a have not used servo match boxes or equalizers and wanted to know what other pilots are using, I am guessing 1 equalizer per surface considering you have 2 servo's per surface, 2 each aileron, 2 rudder and one each on the elevators, do most pilots/builders still utilize 2 receivers, one per side? the manual does not suggest any of this even the reccomended servo torque.

Help and Thanks!

i run mine which has been around since 2002 with 6-8411 on the alierons with matchboxes and 2-8411 on the elevators no matchbox and 2-5735 hitec on the rudder.

When I first put the kit in the air it was with 2.2700 Nmhi now its on 2-4400 lipo and a 2200 lipo from fromeco on the motor. My rudder is on a home made system pictured here:

Most flyers are running planes of this size on less more power servo by todays standard of the old 8411.

The bird runs 2 receivers and is split in 1/2.

I would suggest the mtw 90mm drop flex headers and either the KS or MTW canisters. You can purchase the whole setup from DA, I would also suggest getting the MTW pipe mounts with them also.

As for your setup what brand do you normally fly with?

I fly both JR and Futaba and frequently use HiTech servo's as well, I have never had an airplane that required matchbox's or equalizers but I am guessing you run the extensions for both servo's the full length of the wing into the fuselage, then connect them and set them up with a matchbox or in the case of Smart Fly the equalizer, then plug them into the respective channel, as far as the exhaust I saw the set-ups on the DA home page but there is nothing specific to the Radiowave 330, there are several options and I don't want to buy one if it won't fit or requires a lot of modifications, I was hoping someone could tell what is a good plug and play exhaust system for this aircraft with a DA 150.

Thanks!

Joe
