JettPilot -> Building A123 Packs from DeWalt Packs (9/28/2007 7:06:40 AM) I decided to take the plunge and bought 3 DeWalt A123 packs. I will be taking these apart and making 8 cell packs for my planes. I have heard that soldering to A123 cells will ruin them... Someone suggested that I cut the welded on tabs with a dremel and solder to those, is that what you guys usually do ? Anything else I need to know about taking apart DeWalt packs and using the cells ? Thanks, JettPilot

Can I buy all three of your BMS control electronics modules from the packs you are taking apart? its the electronics box inside the DeWalt battery that plugs into the power tool.
