I nned help! I have tried everything I know in my limited ability and I cannot stop this thing from vibrating. Its ok past initial spin up and its almost unnoticable at hover but landing and powering down it looks like its going to rattle itself apart! Help! Ive balanced the blades and changed everything I can think of except the main shaft!

then maybe it's the main shaft? did you also try changing the two knobs at the top? you might have too much pitch in the blades at low rpms.

Where are the vibes? Tail=Tail shaft or really out of balance blades,

Head- Mains way out of balance or CG out, Main shaft bent (yes even new ones), Paddles not level, Main gear out of round and and mesh too tight. Paddles not level with one another, bent feathering shaft, warped blade etc. I have one of those scales and I balance my paddles, mains and tail blades withing 1/100th of a gram and no or very little vibes as long as everything else it snug and true. It is hard to get these things perfect. I found this out while trying aerial video and i chased a vibe for two days. Bent main shaft, replaced it then my scale shows up and my out of balance paddles and mains bent my new shaft or it just came bent. TRex hardend shaft is the way to go to elimnate the shaft as a possible cause of the vibe. I tighten all my frame screws as well. After awhile they will loosen up and they hold the bearings in. If it becomes loose, then the bearings will be loose and cause a vibe.

Cyclic,

read the manual and then come back and ask if you have any questions on it. sorry, i'm just lazy and don't want to type in what's already been written. page 18 is what you're looking for.

In the time it took to write all that, you could have answered my question. Sorry I asked!

I'm not saying you shouldn't ask, only that trying to explain what's shown in the diagrams would take a lot more than my first response. That manual is also not included with the model so i can understand why you couldn't find it but really it give's a very good expanation. A picture really is worth a thousand words when it comes to stuff like this.

try to help and you give me attitude instead of thanks

I have great experience with Xtreme lipo batteries. My 1700mah 11.1v 20c Xtreme packs last 10 minutes plus with mild maneuvers. In fact I find these can last as long as my Mega Power batts. Wich leads to my next reccomendation, the Mega power 2100 and 2200mah batteries are great. You only need the 15c batteries for these ones because the stock motor doesn't eat more than 28 amps. If your running a different motor like align 430L then you want to go 20c or higher.

I've also tried the Loong Max with ok results. The peak voltage mah dropped after 10 cycles and I hadn't even done any 3d yet with them. Overall they are ok, don't get warm but if the effect continues I won't have a battery worth using after 30 flights.

cheers

DYMOND RC has realy good batteries as well. $50 though, which is middle of the road as far as price. Their 20 Cs 2200 MAHs drop off nice near the end. You have at least 20-60seconds of lowered power before the cut-off which is plenty of time to bring her in. Very gradual yet noticable before cut off. My Cama 2200 is a little more drastic and not very noticable.

Crashinbash, what do you use to lube or soften the belt?
Thanks Kevin

hey husky I actually used household multipurpose 3 in 1 oil. It's perfect for lube, clean and prevent rust and it actually made the belt a little stronger (less prone to stretch).
I applied it to the pulley of the tail as I spun the head to lube the belt as it ran tail to main. (see pic) It only took 2 or 3 drops to make the difference then it was on to the main head.
I recently pulled the main shaft out to inspect after my crash (earlier posted in the forum) and lubed the mainshaft before assembling the new replacement head.

Haven't had a chance to get it in the air since the new head assembly, it's been raining everyday since november 28. If only I had an rc boat, I could literally drive it where the roads used to be lol

cheers
