Status: offline 		Ok i see now that help thanks, I can no longer find esky servos so i put hs55 in my hbk2 so i guess its time to do both the belt cp's, whats the price on them jr servos?

I use HS55's and they are a good choice, very cost effective, $14.99 each and spare gear sets are available.
I get them from Michael at US HOBBY SUPPLY. Good price, fast shipping. Very reliable. Michael also is part of this thread, so why not support one of us.

I would use the HS-55 for the rudder. The Belt CP manual calls for the same servo in all locations. By using the same one it would limit the spare parts needed.

I finally hovered over three minutes straight!!! What a rush of adrenaline to get it up for that long! After coming back to Earth, I took a 30 minute break, and hovered some more. As soon as I set it down, I saw smoke coming from the canopy - my ESC was on fire!!!!! I quickly disconnected the battery and contained the fire before it consumed my helo. Talk about a range of emotions! Now I'm in the market for a good ESC so I won't have that problem again. I read earlier that the Belt CP's are known to catch fire - I didn't think it would be mine until it actually happened. Everyone beware!!!!

Congrads on the hovering...

I really think that E-Sky should be getting some phone calls about the ESC catching fire... that is just BS.. and could be extremely dangerous...

Although... it would look realistic all in a fire ball and everything, lol I just hope it isn't my chopper

Gald about the Hover , sorry about the fire.
Man that must have been some HOT flying.
Sorry I could not resist the pun.
I am going to replace my ESC with HobbyWing - Pentium 25a and programming card, In the near future.
I think The reason the E-sky ESC catches fire is that the heat sink is under the shrink wrap of the ESC. Thus eliminating any air flow over the cooling fins. I am going to remove the shrink wrap and figure out how to secure the cooling fins to the ESC. I will let you know what works.

Status: offline 		In fact, I removed the plastic wrap a couple of weeks ago, flew inside for short bursts, checked the ESC and the ESC did not get hot at all, unlike it did with the plastic on. I kept a little piece of the back plastic on and put a plastic tie around it to secure it to the frame. The more I think about this fire, the more pissed I get. I had a Raptor previously, and as soon as the motor went out, everything else followed, and I could not get it back flying again. Keeping my fingers crossed that it won't happen with my Belt CP. Thanks for the link to the ESC and programming card. Is it hard to program an ESC? And, do anyone know the purpose of yellow looking ball with the three wires btwn the ESC and the receiver connection? Do I need to keep that on when I get another ESC? Any help would be appreciated.
