I just installed the metal head on my Belt CP - haven't flown it yet, but I found something out that was a problem with the plastic head - both blades do not pitch as they should. Even though the helo still flies pretty good, it frustrates me to see only one blade pitching. I loosened up everything, retightened, and still the same problem. I guess it's a flaw in the helo itself. Still enjoying my Belt!!! I saw in an earlier thread that the member is going back to the plastic head - I spent too much money to go back to plastic!!!

hi there and welcome to the heli club Nitroxda.....

i like you busted my cp on first flight lol.

though i had been flying coaxials first.
I found the tutorial on Ka planes written by mike to be a big help, it outlines the bunnyhop procedure
for learning to hover.

www.ka-planes.com -> then click on "hovering 101" in the side bar.

Get out there and burn those batteries is all i can say.

its easier to fly the CP on a large concrete area cos its hell when the trainer gear dives
into the grass and flips your heli..... that was my 1st crash in a nutshell.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and infos.... will keep on trying. Got myself a training gear today, but it rained all day . couldn't resist so I strapped up the stick and PingPong ball like gear. to my surprise I could pop the heli 2-3 feet for a second or two in my living room...!!!! ...... till I was too excited not to notice the curtain fluffing in the wind caused by the heli, the blade snag it up.......BAM!.... ... to my surprise.. I broke the training gear plastic center and the right supporting rod end for the tail boom
Luckily the training pack came with 2 pcs of the palstic center, and I super glued the broken rod end..

Will try outside from now on .......

Hi everybody. Re-building my belt after a pretty spectacular crash. But somehow I lost my links to the step by step setup vids. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Go to Finless Bob's Tech Room at Helifreak. Most are for a TRex 450 but most of them apply to a Belt. Good luck.

ok so I need tracking help. I have put a spektrum esc and use the dx6i tx. Now that I have good stuff to run I need to know how to get the blades to track. At 1/4 throttle I can see about 1/2 inch of white from the blades not tracking from the side. I know enough that I have to get them to track well to get the heli up. Also I seem to have extra play in the main holders, probably 1/4 inch at the end of the mains. do you think I need to replace the main holder assembly, or can I tighten all that up to get rid of the play. Great posts by the way I have learned a lot.

I used to sockets and matched them to the outside dia. and then made sure that one side of the socket fit into the other and tied it all together with a piece of 4" thread and two nuts on either side. When you tighten them down it just pushes the bearing right out

Hey folks, just put together this rotor head/swash upgrade. Was playing around with it before I dropped it in the heli and realized that when I move the swash up I get pos. pitch and vice versa. Just the opposite of stock. Is this correct? Do I just need to reverse the servos on the swash or have I done something wrong with the linkages?

Morning davideh2:
Also sounds normal to me. When you mount it just check that the pitch is correct for the throttle position. If the pitch is opposit of throttle stick you will need to reverse all three servos. If you have a DX6i or Dx7 you van do this through the TX with Swash Mix.
I like the place you mounted your ESC, do you have any cooling problems with it located there?

Have A Great Day

Thanks Evdreamer and Disney1. As for the ESC I don't know yet. Haven't flown it like this yet. Hoping to get some fan action from the main gear. Also gives me perfect CG. I'm going to try to get this swash and rotor setup today. Once I run a couple of packs through it I'll let you know.
