Hey Druss
You need to save me again. How do you program the Tail Lock mode(Logictech 2100T), remembering it is stock TX. Do I flip gyro switch to Tail Lock and then press menu, or do I have to get someone to program it for me with another progammable TX.
Thanks
Philip

dynam web site here:

http://www.dynam-rc.com/products/esc/brushless.htm

look in the downloads, then the ESC's. There is one manual for all the ESC's.

thanks for the comment US hobby supply
But my problem is to get the Tail lock mode to be set. It seems it has to be set with the transmitter. The Esky transmitter only have a gyro switch which I think will switch from rate to Tail lock. Or can it be done this way. Flip switch to Tail Lock and then press the menu button and select the normal way?
HHmmm. What do you say
Thanks
Philip

I set my lgt2100 up by using standard rate mode, followed the directions on the link (direction, gain, servo travel limit). Then flew it and adjusted the servo up/down the boom until it held real good in rate mode. Then in HH mode it was like solid!!

You are correct, the stock ESKY tx only has a switch with no way to set the gain. Up (towards antenna) is rate mode, down towards sticks is HH mode. I suppose you could set the gain manually on the gyro, but I have never tried that, as I've only used it with a programmable tx.

Thanks UShobby supply
So what you are saying is set gyro in rate mode and just flip switch for HH and that is it. So all wires should be connected to the receiver(including the single wire). Hopefully the answer is yes to all.
Will have to do some business with you to show my gratitude.
Thanks again
Philip

Question for a heli guru............My bird is a belt cp and I am running a DX7 TX w/AR6100 receiver, GY401 Gyro w/S3154 Servo for the Rud, and JR DS285 for AIL/ELEV/and PIT. When leveling the swash plate and as I move the throttle stick up, the AIL servo is lagging behind the other two servos at a slower rate causing the swash plate to tilt a little but it eventually catches up with the other two and levels out. I assume that there is a setting in the TX that needs adjusting but I do not know what it is. Any siggestions? Thanks

In the DX7, are the swash mixes the same number (like 60, or 70)? Positive or negative does not matter (for amount of travel, only for direction), as long as they are the same percentage!
I fly my beltcp with a dx7 also!

Michael

I have the DX6i but I'm assumiong the DX7 is similar. I changed the TRAVEL ADJ settings to even out the servo movements. If they are all currently at 100% try changing the AIL to 110 or 120% and see if it makes a difference.

how do u guys position the servo on the boom?
should the tail rotor blade be flat(neutral pitch?) or pitched and blowing to the right when the servo is neutral?
it seem that is should be pitched and blowing to the right when the servo is neutral, but i don't know how much

Keep the servo push rod paralell to the tail boom when moving or before final tightening. . Make sure the rotor blade is spinning in the right direction- up to down veiwing from the tail, if not reverse the gyro. the rotor should be blowing the tail to the left(nose right). Move the servo and test hover until the tail holds straight or nearly. Then adjust with rudder trim.

Yes, you are correct.

The tail blades should be pitched just a bit with the servo at center travel while in rate mode on the gyro (or only in rate mode for a rate mode gyro :>

You can move the servo posistion up and down the tail boom to get a good hover, with center rudder trim and center rudder stick. That is also recommended for setting up a hh gyro, first get it mechanically set in rate mode, then HH will be that much better.
