I mean for the motor connections. 2mm was stated before, but I"m not entirely sure...

Also, I have been flying my heli, but my gyro seems to give out after about 30sec of stable flight. I'll have a good hover, but then the tail will just go spinning until I power down, and power back up again.

Is it my gyro or maybe a radio glitch?

I"ll get a video of it up in a min or so... Edit, here it is http://www.youtube.com/v/8XSn7WAjjzs That busted my horizontal fin, bent my tail boom, and broke a tail boom supporting rod... fun, Fun, FUN!!!

Thanks for all the help guys, I may just pick up some 2mm bullet connectors to see if they work...

hello all. a neighbor of mine asked me to try and fix his e sky belt cp . he crashed it bought another complete airframe put it together and all it does is wicked 360 s and does not lift off. the manual sucks. i can t tell if he put it together right. the main rotors don t seem to be responding properly the gyro ( professional) doesn t go solid on the light . it s a mess. i am basically a plane guy but have a bladecx2 which does not help me at all in trying to figure out this heli. i am not one to give up on anything that flies but i am almost ready to make it fly right out the window (without turning on the transmitter). any info on this bird would be very much appreciated.

I've had similar symtoms evader! i don't think its my gyro though as i've tried another one(can't confirm this though! other gyro may be damaged too!). Does your Belt CP glitch the servo's after start-up initialization? cause mine does that too. Been told Tx pots can get dirty and also ESC can cause probs like this. Can anyone confirm these probs? you would assume definately gyro problem with losing tail control intermittanly though or even some sort of loose connection or even intermittant chip or component in the gyro itself.

are you doing correct start-up? ie: turn on tx, connect battery, wait for beeps, gyro should twinkle for a time then go hard light (Don't move heli in this procedure either!). Then also gyro may be faulty. if it's doing 360's the gain on the gyro might be out of wack too try increasing/decreasing the gain pot and see if any difference happens. With no lift off you will need to check your pitch thru the range and may require manual adjustment. pitch gauge is the best. should be roughly 0 deg at centre stick and 6-7 pos deg at full stick. I'm not an expert but i hope this helps, i had to learn this hobby from scratch so i know a little bit!

Ok DX6 guys
What is the protocol. After binding(took out plug before turning off TX) Connected all the components turned on thye radio-good most things are solid-swash not level. I did not trouble any links. What is the protocol all servo arms at 90 degrees- program radio-level swash-level head-fix pitch? Or is it all done with the radio.
Thanks

Philly D:
The top secetion of the file I sent you should take you throught the pitch and servo setup step by step.

DO NOT FORGET TO DISCONECT THE 3 MOTOR WIRES FIRST!!!
Turn on the RX/TX system set all trims for center and sticks to center. Set you mode switch to F MODE
Adjust the Servo arms manually by re positioning the arms on the hubs as close as possable, then use SUB TRIM for perfection.
Then with the RX/TX system on manually level the swash.
I use turn buckles on the two blade control links to do the adjustmens. thay can be gotten at US Hobby supply, here is the link:
http://www.ushobbysupply.com/product_info.php?cPath=31_38&products_id=474&osCsid=6bd62667541af877b2b86fc8295bf3e5
THese allow you to adjust the pitch andtracking perfectly, also you do not have to remove ball links to set them.
Pitch should be set to 10 degrees positive and negative.

Get the lavels right

What Disney said! Also, everyone who flies a CP heli, IMHO, should watch the "Finless Bob" videos you can find here. The ones on CCPM setup are geared toward TREX compatible helis but the concepts are the same (plus they may help you understand why you'd be better off moving in the direction of TREX compatibility). Good videos on setting up HH gyros as well as the soldering videos I mentioned earlier.

Hey Dis
Thanks a lot for the document. The document will help since it is hard to fix with the computer running. The document also tell what to reverse without you have to check. I owe you I have reccomended people to Finless Bob and forgot to go there for myself . I watched them. I already have got those adjusting links and a blade balancer and something else in my cart for ushobbysupply. Gonna go through the site and make one order. I'll use the esc power for now because in the second bind I want all the components hooked up. I did not cut the power wire in the esc.
Oh what is the F mode. Can't see an explanation for it.
Cheers

PhillyD, you can also get a y-harness that will let you connect two things to one channel (like the bind plug and the UBEC to the BATT channel). Just FYI.
