So as the title states, I'm new to the world of RC cars. I will post pics when i'm done with my project and that will be when i get the new suspnsion delivered and installed. But as of right now i just installed a new OS 18CV-RX and i'm trying to break it in. Unfortunately, when i start it and it idles, the wheels keep spinning and the car moves without me giving it gas. What is causing this? The throttle is open only 1mm and i can't close the highspeed needle anymore or the car will stall. I'm absolutely clueless what is causing this. If someone could hep me out i'd greatly appreciate it.

this should help, read it ALL and then read it again if you are unsure http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_5517128/tm.htm also, the opening is usually about 1mm, sometimes it is more, sometimes it is less, you need to get a fairly decent tune and the proper idle gap for it to sit there and idle ok, reset the needles to factory settings, then i would suggest turning the hsn 1/4 leaner and the lsn 1/4 turn too, that should get you closer to where you want to be but not exact, hope that helps

i read that post multiple times and the car would roll on idle with the factory settings. Due to that i started trying to twink it a bit. I'm not sure where the low speed needle is. Could that be the screw that attaches to the trottle? The manual labels it as the mixture control valve assembly screw. i did fool around with it a bit but i couldnt get any results so i put it back in the factory position. i'm recharging the glow plug at this point since i killed it, haha.

the idle needle is on the other side, i beleive its a small flathead screw, screwing it in raises the idle i think and screwing it out lowers it

i think i finally got it and thank you for all the help. a whole lot of tweeking had to happen. i was about to contact OS directly because i've been doing this for over a day.
