i just used the RB plugs the whole time my engine was going, the #6 for break in and most normal running, used the 7 on occasion when it was cold out, run perfectly fine for me with 20% fuel, if someones experimented with other plugs please share with us, i've come into a bit of money lately and will have for a while so when i do finally get the revo going i mgiht just buy 3 or 4 different plugs and fiddle with it.

im having trouble with the throttle linkage. since this is the RB thread i figured i would post here too.

the carb is not oppening up all the way. i noticed that the RB carb has alot more slide movement then the stock 3.3 just wondering what you can do to get the carb open all the way. i can slide it with my finger just fine with nothing binding. im just not getting engough articulation to open the carb all the way up.

for the varb problem, the best fix i found was getting a new throttle servo, after that it opened past the carb body, but still not all the way, the stock linkage is the problem, it doesnt allow enough movement for the RB carb.

i had the same prob.with my 523,all i did was move the ball linkage so its above the spur tension nut, that allowed me to adjust the carb.angle to get full movement

Will the RB 523 fit with a big block conversion such as the Qoncepts? Or is the RB mount the only one that is compatible?

no, the crank case on the RB is a good half an inch short then a true big block, so with w big block kit the clutch bell wont meet the spur gear.

the 323 is a 7 port (5 intake plus 2 bypass plus 1 exhaust) and the 523 is a 9 port (7 intake plus 2 bypass plus 3 exhaust), there are a lot of differences though, the 523 uses a 14.2mm crank, the 323 uses a standard 13mm, the 523 also has larger bearings, a new head button, and the crank case is ported differently because the sleeve is A 9 port rather then 7.

neither will drop directly into the max or revo, the crankcase is much wider then the stock engines, you need the RB engine mounts (which are supplied with the engine along with an exhaust system)

here is a link to the 523 kit for the maxx, that is the best deal i could ind for the max kit at $258 USD (the revo kit costs the same).

the only place i could find that sells the 323 for either the max or revo in an Australian online site, the 323 has been removed from RB's website so it may have been discontinued, i don't know for sure though.
