Sounds good. The TV here is bland, nothing really on. I am really really suffering from TV withdrawal. If it isn't raining tonight I will take a walk on the wild side and do a little window shopping. Only looking DEFINITLY not buying

Working on the second fuse assembly.

I plead the 5th on why one side of the fuse
is sheeted before I did the wing tube alignment.

Both sides are sheeted, wing tube holes drilled, incidence
adjusters installed, and rudder servo cut outs opened.

Now I am starting one the 3/8 square stock.

Sam and Bhanley,

Thank you,

I have enjoyed working on the planes so far. I think the
location of my new shop right off our kitchen has helped a lot.

No stress to step into the shop for a few minutes do a little
work and then step back into the kitchen.

Epoxied the plywood motor box/truss side parts in place
on the motor box. After that was dry I epoxied the truss
sides in place.

I also had an emergency wing repair to take care of.

Cruising along on the second fuse...

All the cross bracing, diagonals and the upper triangles
are complete. Tomorrow I will remove the fuse from
the table.

Second fuse is off the table.

I started working on the root ribs for the main wings,
decided on the standard 8/32" wing attachment instead
of studs.

To add a little extra protection from wing movement with
the adjustable incidence I will turn some thick aluminum
washer for the 8/32 wing bolts. One face will have teeth
or a knureled surface. When the wing bolt is tightened
down the knureled face would grip the plywood wing mount
pad.

I also backed up the 1/4" plywood mounting plates with
some 1/64" plywood strips for a little added strenght.

I see some builders dowel these into the foam running
small dowels at angle into the foam a few inches. I may
do that also.
