Vann,

The snow was the only thing flying here yesterday.

If I did something like come down that way to fly this bird, you would have a hard time trying to pry the TX out of my hands. I am hoping this is a sweet flyer, so I would give you a crack at it to give you insentive to finish your plane. I must be mellowing in my old age.

Yea....No snow, but that is what we had today, just no accumalation. This time.

I know what you mean, by can't stay away from it. I have the wings, stabs and rudder all setup with just final programing needing done. Don't know when the PB Royal is going to get here though.
I set in the Greves Pipes which was easy. Now I have to decide which plane I pull a 150 from. Hope to have that all decided in the morning.
This thing is addicting and I am not even going to get to fly it unless we have a major Indian summer.. Fat chance on that one. I have been off from work for a week now and don't go back till Mon. This thing could be done, but no PB. I have my fingers crossed.

The new PowerBox "Royal" power system.
I use the PB "Champion" version in all my planes. The Royal is a newly introduced system by PowerBox.

Got the motor mounted and most of the cowling cut out. Just need to make a few holes for fuel lines and to be able to adjust the carb and choke.
After that it is pretty much wait for the new unit and program the plane.
Then who knows, I might get bold and take it out if we get a good day or two ?????????????

Well, I can't believe how fast this thing went together and with so few problems.

All I have to do is mount the RX batteried, RX, and Powerbox. I am waiting for all of this. Then figure out the C/G and program the radio. It should be good to go. Man, I wish I had all that stuff, I would have it done by tomorrw. SCHUCKS !!!!

Put together, the plane feels real solid and tight. That is good. I am impressed with how everything has gone and expect the flight when ready to go just as well. Hoping it is soon.

I will be using Li-ion batteries ans use a spnner, but a 5" I am not ready to go buy a 6" when the 5" looks good.

Now, I DO want to fly this thing.

The headers are from another MTW setup I am going to use in another plane. I just happen to check the drop and they were good, so I used them for now.

You know, I am getting excited about this thing and how it is going to fly. It is going to be a long winter of dreaming if I don't get a chance when I get it done.

Joe,

Are the Wings built-up or sheeted Foam? You can see the lightening holes thru the Ultra-cote for ailerons and elevators? Almost looks like a sheeted / built up Wing?

We'll probably have to wait until Spring to get a Flight report from you, but I think I just found my first 40% ! Great Job!

Ward, The wings and for that matter, the whole plane is all built up. No foam anywhere on this plane.
I would love to get a few flights on it before the snow flies, but we will have to see with this weather we have. My days of cold weather flying are gone. I don't like shaking from shivering cold.
