Your gonna love it man, they handle like great, the chassis flexis into turns instead of loosing traction and heading into a roll.

Check all your screws. Especially your wheels nuts, motor mount screws and you front a-arm screws where they bolt into the hubs, all on the monsoon. They like coming out on my monsoon. Put loctite on them.

lol, anyway finally started to break it in today, and I must say I am really impressed. Break-in was completely effortless and went really smooth. The first time took about 4 pulls to start, but everytime after that it started on the first pull. Couple of things tho:

I hit a small bump and the exhaust popped off the manifold and I realized that this was cause because the screw that holds the metal wire to the front of the pipe came loose so I fixed it right away and added some lock-tite to the screw (throught that I had gotten all the screws with lock-tite before I went out, but I guess not.), so when I put it back together I must have put it too close to the fuel tank, and the exhaust melted some of it on the side, I'm just lucky that I cought it soon enough or else I would've been replacing the fuel tank already. So this is something that I have to keep checking so that the fuel tank and pipe don't get too close to each other.

And, it seems that the batteries in the remote died too fast, I had put brand new AA's in right before I went out, and I only ran for about 2 hours, but I'm still going to investigate this and change the batteries, maybe it was just that batch. I noticed this because my range seemed to have diminished, and when I checked the display it said 11.0 V, so that's how I realized that it must be the batteries. Btw I love the FM controller with the digital display, really nice.

So anyway that's my take on the Monsoon, I only ran 7 tanks through today and it seems to be getting better w/ every tank. This is my 4th redcat RC (1st 1/8th scale) and all I can say is WOW, Redcat Racing really came through with this one.

I had the same problem on my monsoon with the pipe being to close but was made aware of it when I bought it. All you have to do is take a pair of needle nose pliers and bend out the wire that holds the pipe. The same one that you had to put the screw back in. It is pretty stiff but it will bend with some persuasion. Another thing is that where the pipe and header meet at the rubber coupler that holds them together, both pipes are not flared out and will pop out easily. If you remove the you can flare them out easily. The metal is soft and with the same pair of needle nose pliers put some pressure and push on the them like you want to reem them out and they will flare. This will keep them from pulling apart when you have the coupler on it and will not come off when you are running it. Hope this helps.
