I just got a B400 and am extremely happy. I'm relatively new at helis but have been flying RC airplanes for a few years. It was truly RTF right out of the box. I didn't even have to adjust any trims on the Tx. It handles wind really well. By the 3rd pack, I was hovering in 5 - 10mph wind gusts with no problems. I think this is a good entry into 400-class. My next heli will probably be a T-Rex or similar high-end machine. But who knows, I may decide that the B400 with a few upgrades here and there is all that I really need.

Have read the posts.. T-R this and that.. I flew gas heli's many years back - sold my 60 sized Legend and got the B400 - this will be perfect for me, and others, that are learning (again) and have other RC interests - my main interest in Pattern - electric, but many pattern guys are picking up little electric heli's for some stick time after the season ends - and for those Saturday nights after the contests. I don't see any point in comparing the TR with the B400 - they are different machines. I have a JR PCM10SX-heli from the old days, and will may be use this again someday. For now, the DX6i has all the features I need. I am enjoyng my purchase and isn't that what it's about?

I own a CP Pro and haven't have many gripes about it. I've been eyeballin' the 400 since it's debut and am itching to make the jump. Many guys add that the Trex is the superior machine in comparision and I probably agree. In regards to the basic topic of this thread the 400 is setup as an easy way to get a well built 450 size machine with good electronics. There are ofcourse plenty of other ways, such as building a custom kit and installing your favorite electronics, but I think E-Flite did a great job with this one. Venom's Night Ranger 3DXL is a similar sized / featured model, however, it is a bit more expensive and I believe it lacks the computer radio. The hardcore guys who have been in this hobby for a while will probably not go for a Blade 400 since they already have experience with high end equipment and would rather build just for the sake of building. But for folks with little to no experience and want a quality built machine with great parts support, this looks like a winner.

If you have a CP Pro, you will definitely want to get the B400 and put a Spektrum 2.4 ghz Rx on it and run it with the DX6 that comes with the B400. This radio improved my CPP 100 percent. I also run my CX2 on the same radio. The B400 is alot more stable and easier to fly than the CPP. It is a also a lot worse when you crash. As has been documented on this forum, even a slight crash will strip the servo gears and bend the shafts.
My one gripe with the B400 is the included charger. My first one would start at 1.8 amps and then switch to trickle in about 10 minutes. It took five or six hours to charge a pack. My LHS swapped it out and the second charger would just go to flashing lights indicating error after a few minutes. I saved myself a lot of grief and bought a Venom charger- balancer. It's great! It charges all of my 2 and 3 cell Lipos very quickly.

The only thing I do with the Cp Pro and the 400 is hover. Try and hover that 400 in a 6 foot by 6 foot space in a house.Like a bathroom. Nerves of steel WOW!
