Hello,

I have recently required a Tower Trainer 40. It has a O.S. FS series 52 engine. The engine is in like new condition. I was told the plane had never been off the ground.

I had trouble getting it started. It spun for approximately 2 mins, then came to life. It died immediately. I think it was getting glow and fuel, so I am leaning towards the A/F trims.

Where exactly is a good starting place to tune? (i.e. fully closed, then one turn out, etc.) This is my first 4 stroke R/C, is there anything I need to know about 4 stroke as opposed to 2 stroke?

Thanks,
Zach

All of these question should be addressed in the engine's instruction pamphlet. Did you get one with the engine and have you read it? However, this engine is reviewed by Clarence Lee in Model Airplane News this currnt issue (the one with the two for one offer). I have not read; but, Clarence Lee is one of (if not the best) engine people. His information is always right on.

Thanks for your reply. I found the online Engine manual on the O.S. website. I've started at their recommended stock settings.
