I fly mine with dual rates with low rates at 55% 25% expo I also set it up with spoilerons to cut some of the lift in the wind works great
Why a 6100 and not a 6200 its a little more robust. Thats what I run with a DX6i

Thanks Moogly, actually I do have a 6200 RX as I have it in one of my Helos and actually thought I would put it in the T-Craft instead. I have read through the thread, thankfully it is a relatively short one! Any other tips and which prop would be best to keep my speed down and give me the longest flight times? Thanks Gene

props? well I ran a 11X7 and 11X5 at first and have sense down sized to a 10X6 and even a 10X4 they seem to work well for my flying.
the 11x5 pull around 24 amps on takeoff and averaged around 8 amps the 10X4 is at 20 full bore and 6 amps at crusing speed
these graphs are with a 10X6 and A 10X7

Thanks Moogly, also any good comparable planes on the RF 3.5 Sim? I will need as much practice as I can get on the Sim. Currently using a Cessna 182 and J3 Piper Cub. Gene

Gene465:

Depending on the number of "Add-Ons" you have, there is a Taylorcraft in the 3.5. I am not sure which "Add-On" it is, because I have the G4, and only the 3, 4 & 5 "Add-Ons" work with G4. However, the Cessna 182 does not fly the same as the Taylorcraft, because it has flaps and is not as aerobatic as the Taylorcraft. The Cubs are all much slower than the TC and less aerobatic, if at all aerobatic.

dbl8ts,
Thanks for the response, I would like to get as much SIM practice as possible before my T-Craft arrives at my LHS, Add-On 4 has the T-Craft and I contacted RF tech support to make sure that it is compatable with the 3.5 version. Hopefully it does!
SBaugz I think Furn is trying to sell his already! lol Since most places are out of stock making the T-Craft a bit harder to get although I found several places that currently have them in stock way cheaper than his advertised price. Gene

Thats what I paid.. I was advertising it for sale, a joke, because of availability wanted to see if someone would pay 2X the price. Already started building, cant wait to fly it.. Are there any mandatory mods I should be looking to make?

Yes, you should mount a large brick in the tail section for proper CG...it will be way nose heavy otherwise >
