**** I still have not received my Taylorcraft yet. I ordered it in Feburary from Horizon Hobby and they have been out of stock and keep pushing the delivery date back. Im starting to get pissed. I have everything i need exept the most important part the plane. I have searched for web sties and noone has them in stock. I have heard theat there are some hobby shops across the country that have them in stockbut unless they have a website and ship anywhere in the us it doesn't do me any good. If anyone knows of any web sites that have the Taylorcraft in stock could you please let me know. I appreciate any help. I just want to fly this dam plane already.

Thanks everyone. Apreciate the help, But they are also out of stock so more waiting. I just bought the E-Flite Blade 400 3d and dam well worth the 400 bucks for it And it was on sale so that was nice the 70 dallors saved bought me a trex 450 metal case, works perfectly. Just crashed before dam flybar was bent everything else was fine.

Happy flying to all and bring those birds back to earth in one piece.

Thanks again!

Went to the lhs to pick up a couple of $2.00 prop shafts for my GWS Beaver. They had 2 TCraft on the shelf, and another flier was looking at one. He got his and I got mine, Oh yes, I got the shaft, and the TCraft. Has anybody used any other BL Motor than the Eflite's 450, or 480. I have a 2836-09 and wonder if it is enough.

Hi fellas:

I had been watching the thread for a while and finally got my T-craft. It's about ready to go but I had both a 480 w/ 40Amp ESC and also a 450 with 25Amp ESC on the shelf All E-flite parts).

I wanted to go with the 480 after reading ya'lls comments but could not figure out where to mount the larger ESC on such a small engine box. There is also an included on/off switch on that ESC. Do any of ya'll have any photos of how you've set this motor/esc/switch combination up so that the bird flies right???

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks in advance.

Hey Fellas:

I completed my T-craft the other day and have test flown it twice.

Anyways, it's requiring an enormous amount of up-elevator and also some left rudder in order to fly straight. I thought the battery might be sliding around but it was not. With all the trim adjustment I was lucky to keep the plane in the air. The Center of Gravity is dead on per their specs in the manual.

I was out at the field early this morning test-flying it and got some input from a couple of guys. They seemed to think that there might be a problem with the pitch angle of the wing vs the tail. Per them, the leading edge of the wing might need to be raised somehow in order to line up with the horizontal stabilizer. In other words, even though the wing and the tail are parallel from left to right, that they are not parallel from back to front. Does that make sense??? It would seem the issue might be with the pre-cut holes for the two pegs that go in just behind the windshield.

The vertical stabilizer on the plane looks very straight to me but I don't have the most practiced eye.

I figured I'd consult with you T-craft experts before doing anything drastic.

Thanks in advance.

Well both mine was like that and it ended up being the CG . I now have my batt across wise and pretty much over the gear thats a 2200mah pack
fly great now so if there is a problem with my wing and elevatior it was on 2 plane and the battery movement fixed it
JUST MY EXPERIENCE

Hey R/CHeliman!!! ....was going through here and saw this post. (bought an eflight blade 400 last week and have already flown her twice....FF flight....great little bird) Yesterday, at an LHS in Easton Pa, I was looking around and saw a nice eflight taylorcraft 4sale so I forked over $150 for her (only needed to buy a receiver for it, motor, esc, servos,& prop all installed). Not to go off topic.....been flying heli's for awhile now, got 2 gassers and 3 electrics. Wanted to try planks, so I got the hobizone super cub and now have about 65 flights on her.....wanted to upgrade to ailerons.....well, this taylocraft was already assembled and ready to go......guess someone needed some gas money, hopefully I can get her airborne 2marrow. (Sorry to hear about the flybar situation, but an easy fix!!!)wyldbill

.....thought I'd upload a couple pics of this new TC.....watched several videos to get an idea of what to expect when I get mine airborne. Found some "black checker stick on film" so I figured it might help with attitude orientation....noticed that at a distance that "upside down and vice versa" was not real good for me. I want to do the underside of the elevator also, but the LHS only had two sheets (one per main wing panel). I think it gives her a sporty look.....too windy for a maiden today, however, I got to taxi her around. The rudder was reversed....so I went into the transmitter to change it. Got the clicky finger going and inadvertantly selected "CH.#1" and she throttled up very nicely .....(rudder IS CH.#4)....had the "pucker factor" up a notch or two with that stunt.

Thanks, Moogly....on my Hobbyzone Super Cub....it has two black strips on each under-wing. It REALLY stands out at a distance. I was going to do this same thing originally but the LHS didn't have these black strips, so I decided to use the checkering. For a scale type a/c with the trim it has....I think the checkering was a much better choice for "scale likeness." When you put this stuff on, be careful to watch for "air bubbles" getting trapped in. -wyldbill
